I see DDR4 hyperx ram cheaper because of NON ecc, should i buy it for gaming?

hi, im using ripjaw4 ddr4 2133 ram (4x2) currently,
I want to increase it to 16gb ram..
I found hyper x ram rupees1000 cheaper than other stick, i guess it is because of NoN ECC ram, i want ram for gaming(according to my budget)
What is problem in buying NoN ECC ram?
Ecc ram is 1000rs expensive but same 2133mhz, what should i do?

Ecc RAM is server memory, unless you are running a server, you don't want this RAM for gaming and it's incompatible for most consumer systems....

Non ECC is the RAM you usually buy.

ECC ram won't even work on most consumer grade stuff so you need the non ecc memory. If you have a bit more budget you could always find faster DDR4, 2x8gb 2666mhz+ or something, it'll give some games a bit of a boost.
ECC stuff is designed for server applications to help prevent errors and data corruption

In simple word your Asus Z170 Pro Gaming don't support ECC memory so don't even think about it.

Kingston is known to work in 99% of all motherboards or that's at least my experience depending on Hyper, ValueRam and so on so u r clear to go HyperX if u want.

Yep, it's not going to be a big difference though, so if you're just a casual gamer I wouldn't worry too much about the speed too much 2400 will work nicely, although I'd recommend 2x 8gb sticks for 16gb instead of 4x 4gb sticks, that way you can upgrade to 32gb a couple of years down the line without replacing what you're about to buy.

Or cheaper option is just to get another 2x 4gb 2133mhz sticks. It'll work.. Edit - but with a gtx1070 you probably would benefit from slightly quicker stuff. The difference will be pretty marginal though.

It's just DDR4, should be fine.

To be sure that your new RAM will run at it's rated speed, look in the supported motherboard memory QVL.

I just seen you are mixing ram from 2 different companies. There is no guarantee they will work with each other. Best case scenario is that the faster modules will clock down to the slower modules, worst case is wasting money on something that doesn't work. Safest bet is to look at another kit of Gskill ripjaws unless you intend on pulling the ripjaws out completely.

You don't need or want ECC ram for gaming.
2133 is just its tranfer rate.

It's possible.. but not worth the time and effort in most titles... get some ddr4 3000 sticks, set xmp, and enjoy.

Read your motherboard manual if you have one about setting XMP or DOCP/AMP, then set the memory to all 2133 and leave it at that.

By the way you are learning as you go, I did alot of reading when I started messing with computers 19 years ago.

There is no 100% guarantee they will work, that question I would definitely ask Kingston and GSkill about, perhaps the board maker too.
