So my kid's gaming rig currently has a 2500K at 4.5Ghz but sitting on my desk at home is a brand new 4570 NON K that I have had for quite some time. It is brand new and originally I was going to build a PC with it but that never happened.
Considering it is a locked chip, do you think it's worth buying a mobo and replacing my kids current 2500K?
I'm leaning towards not doing it as the 2500K performs nicely at 4.5Ghz. Having never used the 4570 I do not know what to expect.
Her computer specs:
2500K @ 4.5GHz
8GB DDR3
GTX 1080 FE
850 watt PSU
Windows 10
