CORSAIR Launches "STOP GPU ABUSE" Campaign With #GPURESCUE

Thanks to GPU mining, manufacturers have to design graphics cards so they can withstand many hours of heavy usage. I hate when a good graphics card blows up 5 months after warranty period because of built-in
Planned obsolescence!

My thats weird, because lots of people run gpus from 2013 and further back with no issues...

Not if they were mined on. GPUs from that era are famous for crapping out under 24/7 load.

GPUs now? Not so much.

All I can say is every GPU I got new back in 2011 are still going strong today - And one of those is in this system now, doing great.

At one time I was folding with it and a few others but even folding isn't as stressfull on them as mining that I know of, I can say folding in itself was enough in that many of those also died early deaths..... And from all that happened back then is how they learned to make the cards better today.

In truth I've only purchased one GPU new since then and that was more of a treat for me than anything, these cards still do the job and as long as they do I see no need to be rid of them.

lol @ fighting crypto but accepting donations in bitcoin

and here is the strangest thing: when mining, the graphics card tempteratures are much lower than when you game with it. So when this card will crap out? I think when the highest temperature is more often happening than when it works cooler. This is my 5 cents on the popped question for "adoption"of cards....

For each card rescued, we will send a certificate to the IRS, with the original owner's name, card's serial #, place of purchase, and number of hours in use - so these greedy miners won't get away with destroying PC gaming without paying!

but here is another thing, despite working temperatures. So called gamers wouldnt buy at least 100 pieces of graphics card per person for only to game, in fact every gamer will buy at least one card only, like me for example with a Ti. So thats why graphics companies are making money, selling quantities of cards in no time, never forget everything is about making money and profits, noone would refuse that....

forget about putting mining as the problem, no the problem is that companies, stores and e-eCommerce accept bulk purchases of the same item, the problem is the money milking here, miners have the money to pay, companies just charge and increase profits...

Regards,

miners have money to spend? from where? are they ptinting them? As I have laslty checked, profits from mining whatever it is, is very small or there is none....

sure, thats why most miners use sli, farms with 10 or more video cards.... cuz they have no money.....

i am telling that, once you have entered with an amount of money for mining, then the money flow stops, you cannot return that money you have invested, so mining equipment is bought once for the most miners and they are waiting for roi and profit eventually. Nobody keeps investing money in something so time limited...
