Steam's annual sale extraordinnaire event's date has been set. The day where users will start changing winks and seduction efforts with their bank accounts will come on June 21st, the first day of the 2018 Steam Summer sale. If a leak from Steam DB is correct (and they've been right before), the Steam 2018 Summer Sale starts at 9:55AM Pacific Time on June 21, 2018, lasting for 13 lucky days until 10:05AM Pacific time on July 5, 2018.

Of course, stretching the old euro (or dollar, or appropriate currency, it's a wide world out there) can only go so far. Since we're more than a month away from the purported beginning of the next Steam Summer sale, users are encouraged to look through their backlog of games; look through their wishlist; and plan, furiously and strategically, where to allocate their gaming funds. Though we all know what will happen: we always need. All. The Games.

Out of curiosity, what were the two french words meant to convey? Because, as a French, i'm afraid they don't mean much, the way they are now. Assuming it was meant to be french :/

Hey. Not meant to be French; Latin. A reference to "Et Tu, Brute?", words supposedly uttered by Julius Caesar at the moment of his betrayal and assassination.

It only seemed French because French absorbed a lot of Latin words after Gaul was conquered by Rome and absorbed into the Republic and then empire.

The phrase, while specifically unknown if Julius Caesar uttered it, was first known to the public in Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar during reign of Elizabeth I, and has endured as a romantic telling of his assassination.

I don't hoard games anymore. Here and there I buy something, but rarely. Only larger buy toll was during GOG sale when they had mystery stars or something, you paid like 3€ and you received a random game for it. Sometimes of same value and sometimes of larger value. I did get one for 12€ I think and the rest for 5€ and 3€. I don't play games that much anymore other than Killing Floor 2 anyway, and have a huge backlog of them to finish so there's that.

Oh, thanks for the clarification. I had never seen that latin phrase written like that, i always saw "Tu quoque, Brutus", which seems to be an alternative form also in latin. I learned something today, thanks! :)

Hey. No problem, I'm just glad I contributed something to someone's ever-growing pool of knowledge. Keep being curious!

Any day you learn something is a good day, according to my Dad :)

Far Cry 5 for $20 ........?

I stopped buying the sales, I can usually find third party sellers with the same deal year round, which actually diminishes the appeal because I probably wouldn't play the game anyway.

I miss the days when Steam sales were these massive community events with heavy discounts on flash deals (and constantly overloaded servers ;)) ...

I'm however very happy that GOG.com still puts efforts in their events. And on top of that, their game offers are fair priced and DRM Free ...

I still like to have my games on Steam or Origin, too complicated to have n+1 platforms for games.

Nah, don’t even need a platform for GOG. Install the old fashioned way (keep the installers saved and no online necessary again), then play from a shortcut. And of course they are yours, not leased. :D

Yeaaah.. but it's more handy to use the GOG Galaxy client. :D
