I am wondering if anyone knows how good the controller support is for Crash Bandicoot on steam?

I am thinking about buying this but I want to make sure that PS4 controller works.

Tried Superfrog HD where the controller works perfect just start steam in big picture mode and it just works.

I am using Sony's Dualshock4 USB Wireless Adapter so no modding to get it to work via USB cable.

I've had nothing but good luck with controller support... except with old games (like Prince of Persia needs a bit more fiddling). I haven't played this, but I'm sure it'll be fine. Seems to be a thing of the past.

I just want to make sure before I throw out like €40 for this game

While trying to look this up I came across this site called PCGamingWiki where their is a command for controller support, 4k and a few others: https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Crash_Bandicoot_N._Sane_Trilogy#Command_line_arguments

If this means that I have to use -pc %d% or --primarycontroller %d% I am not sure how good this will be

Those commands could just be there "if all else fails".

I suppose you'd be better off asking directly on the Steam comments.. someone is bound to have a solid answer.

Maybe @StrayKAT but I was wondering if any here on TPU had a blast from the past with this game yet :D

The game is a recently released. Supporting controllers is a no-brainer for them. Might have to use the keyboard/mouse to get past some dialogs but otherwise, controller should work.

I would assume it's an xinput based controller, so yes it should work.
