hi, i have a old 922 haf case which i butchered years ago to manhandle a btx board in to.
now i want to put it back in to service.. i had a look and the mangled part seems t be riveted in place so easy to replace... i just cannot seem to find any,

thoght id ask here if any 1 knows if its possible to buy them. if not il just have to fabricate a replacement i guess as i dont have any unused cases i could butcher to replace it..

Il attatch a image of one from google i added a traditional red circle too so you all know what im on about.

Just go on amazon or ebay and search for 'Blank PCI Slot Cover' or 'PCI Expansion Slot Cover' they are fairly cheap

no i dont need the covers... i need the actuall slots lol. (this is the issue im having searching for them, i keep geting the blanking plates as a result)

So youre not after these???

I thought cases only came with the amount of PC slots that were cut into the case to meet whatever form factor they were made for. My case came with 9 slots but damn. if you found a way to squeeze more on there, then we could start up a business and make tonnes of money.

You mangled up the case, the only choice you have is buy a new case or fabricate your own parts and tack-weld it on

He is after this.

if I'm not mistaken the one you are looking for is not modular as you say you "hacked" it out and it's riveted in, chances of finding someone else who took theirs out and just happened to save it for a few years for someone like you to come along are slim at best :D ghetto mod it :D:toast:

In that case he might need to fab and tack-weld. I dont think that case originally came with a motherboard tray

its not a mother board tray really.. its just the brackets for the pci slots.
eidairaman1 is the closest one to find a picture of what i want. but ndmk2o1o is also correct in saying i messed mine up properly and need a replacment which is not a standard replacement part.

the way the case is constructed however the slots were riveted in place,
the chassis would just have had a hole, then they slid the slots in and they were riveted in place.
i was hoping you can just get them from some where then i could drill and rivet it in place.
It looks like im just gonna have to cut what remains of the slots out and ghetto it.
il probably end up cutting down some blanking plates in to strips then jb weld them in place to make the bracket. i would weld them but my mig welder is gasless and absolute junk.

Any way il keep an eye on this thread on the off chance some one has seen an aliexpress or other strange asian e-tailer that has stock of obscure items no one else could ever possibly want.

My point was that it wasnt a standard part. your cases wasnt made with motherboard tray as a feature so there is no way to source a legit one. but if you've searched, youve probably found a thread on another forum from 2014 that was asking about a removable mobo tray.

nah i didn't find any thread about mother board trays because i haven't been looking for one lol.

like i said il just ghetto it if you cant just buy the things. I just thought they may be available because of the mfr method they used..
here is an image of ALMOST what i want (but does not have enough slots)

they are apparantly called pci slot brackets (but thats what i started googling for, when i 1st started looking.) But it seems most people on the internet think a blanking plate is called a pci slot bracket making it near impossible to find what i want.

You may just need to buy a ultra cheap case or find one on street/ salvage/scrap yard

I had an old case here but the way that was manufactured made it really impractical to salvage the slots to use in the 922.
I may have a few more old cases in the attic some where (i should probably have a look)
Its slightly annoying to know the things exist and that i know what they are called lol, but so many people get the name of blanking plates wrong its impossible to find the things.
Having said that. It genuinely is an almost unique thing for some one to want.
the only reason i can think any one would want something like this "other than the reason i want one for" would be to make custom mining cases.

i went ahead and removed what remained of the horizontal slats. Leaving only the hole(s) for the retention screws. I will just use blanking plates to fill in the voids where nothing is installed.
(i only have my GPU and a 1x pcie Usb 3 header) so right now any one could shove their whole hand in there.
i know i have a bushel (probably the right word??) of blanking plates in a box some where..

il leave it like that for now at least.
I had to bend the frame back in to almost square with some pliers but it works fine as a case, and has much better air flow than the other case i had for this system.
just a shame i decided to mangle it years ago to get a btx board in there which i only used for about 2 weeks.

any way thanks for the help.
