I’m going to a pc store to check if the card is working right now

While youre at it upgrade the motherboard bios too, see my last message.

Edinburgh

I called someone up and said they could do it on Friday .... mean while I’m going to try to see if upgrading my Bios does anything, doing that now

Getting this from the bios update file anyone got an idea which one to pick for the update?

Got a “BIOS ID check error”
Sounds like you have may have a different revision of the board and we need to get the correct BIOS for it.
As you can see this is almost a fool proof process
Your version number is on the box and stamped on the motherboard.

I have just installed my new graphics card (GeForce rtx 2060)

I have 2 monitors both hdmi

The monitor which is connected to the graphics card starts up and displays the screen for about 10 seconds on boot up

The monitor which is connected to the integrated graphics doesn’t display anything(black screen) and when the other monitor goes off (after 10 seconds) this one comes on and boots as normal into windows 10 with the other one still off

In device manager the graphics card is shown with a yellow triangle with an explanation mark in the middle and it says error code 46 windows has stopped this device from running due to problems

I have looked online

And found reinstalling the drivers fixes the issue. it hasn’t for me

I have used DDU to delete all the drivers and reinstall them from the NVidia website to no avail

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Error 43 i accidentally said 46

Try to disable your onboard graphics and than reinstall drivers. try to fix the issue with single monitor first

If you read the whole thread you’d see that , this was the very first thing i have tried

Plus i can’t even download anything while my onboard is turned off because i wouldn’t be able to see anything

if your graphic card does not even work with single monitor directly connect without any integrated graphics enabled...it does not show any display than looks like defective card

as i said previously as well.... the card is clearly recognised in device manager , i won’t fully find out if the card is indeed defective till Friday

The Z77 chipset was stupid picky.
I remember having an issue with an unlocked HD6950 and I had to modify the bios on it because of it.

Once you have the most recent BIOS I would definitely check it again before getting the gfx card checked.
