Dump the existing bios, you can do that thru ATi tool, mod it using an editor (available in the downloads section), use ATi Flash to reflash the new BIOS.....making sure of course that you have taken a backup copy of your old BIOS and put it on a bootable floppy in case it does not work....thats the basic details and not a guide of course, may of us can help with that if you decide to do it, I have done it a couple of times in the past and not had a problem.
 
Im planning on doing the flash...what do you edit in the bios?

I cant dump bios on my card...it gives me a error. I just ran 3Dmark06..it would only start with -nosysteminfo and when i click to get my results, it says "Submission Failed"...what is wrong?

I have the free version and i needed to view my results in the orb, but it didnt open....but i did get it to work
857MHz Core / 1179MHz Memory

1709 SM2
2222 SM3
1973 CPU (in previous runs with my x1950pro it pulled over 2000 cpu marks..so room for improvement...)
My x1950Pro got like 4.8K

seems like gddr4 doesn't help much if it ain't at much higher speeds
did you find out wich are the ram chips?
 
not yet....been busy playing games i could never play with my x800 :)

The stickers were pulled of the back and i was told it needs the stock cooler to be sent back...i had it but not the screws to hold it on....i just bought a x800 till this card....and im selling this one for 100 bucks and buying a 2900 in a couple weeks :)
 
PT, can you upload your bios file dump into here so I can have a look and play please.
 
I have Palit HD2600XT Xtreme. The stock clock VPU/Ram = 800/800. Now I can overclock to 820/1030 using Rivatunner. But When I tried to mod bios with Rabit. The program is fault and said that it didn't know the bios of HD2600XT.

I tried with Rabit 2.2.1 but I still not work. Anybody can mod and flash the new bios of HD2600XT?
