Hmm, good review! Nand pricing seems to be all over the place right now. Dramless TLC roughly at price parity with QLC... probably ok for most mundane tasks & gaming which don't stress storage hardware. Wouldn't do anything more serious on it though after that cache gets exhausted..

Agreed. I'd take the Intel 660p/Crucial P1 over this. And they (at least the Intel drive) go for around $100 USD.

The Crucial P1 has an endurance of 200 TBW and Adata SX6000 has an endurance of 600 TBW. 3 times the endurance for 10 bucks ain't bad. Intel uses the same QLC chips as Crucial P1 so it'll have the same endurance. The Adata uses TLC chips.
 
"The second"? Based on which data?

Anything mixed. No cache is pointless cheapskating. As soon as you fill it up, it's gonna tank, too. Corsair MP510 is 120. SX8200 is 150 and 960 pro has been 150 recently. Intel baloney is 93.

There's no room for half-assing at full price.
 
For future owners of M.2 NVMe SSDs who want to buy heatsinks I recommend only one solution Bitspower Armor.
He will be installed easy without pressure on M.2
Avoid Alphacool, Aqua Computer, EK-WB, they are not designed probebly and show up in moments when drives was thinner.

Please dont post BS, if you were not able to install one, doesnt mean others cant aswell. Also you sentences really dont make any sense, please try to at least write in English people can understand.

Few questions about thermal throttling test.
1) Do you do thermal test on desktop? Could you share your test environment setup? Like, how about the ambient temperature?
2) Are you going to test run time power consumption in the same time during your thermal throttling test?
I think maybe a run time drive-level power consumption measurement would provide lots of useful information, like during Sequential Write, Read, Throttling.

Yes, not easy to test power. I know someone are using Quarch's power measurement module to test power of M.2 card.
just want to say I think thermal throttling test also need to consider power consumption of the drive, like, under same environment, same workload, drive with lower consumption can keep at full speed longer.
Maybe like, under same test condition, which one can keep at full speed the longest, would be a good comparison~
