Optimus Signature V2 CPU Block

Hi,
Nice to see you Mr. Fox :)
I agree heatkiller 4 pro is downright ugly with it's terrible bolt/ spring mount I can't even complete 4.8 blender opendata long cpu only test locked up :D
These reviews don't give justice to the cooling power on high clocks on high core count chips !!

Thanks, bro. Nice to see you as well. I have to agree, but that is often the case with reviews. The Optimus Signature V2 really shines the brightest for me when I am overclocking the snot out of my CPU. Running stock or at a modest overclock the improvements are not nearly as obvious. The other thing that I really appreciate is that it works much better with bare die than other water blocks that I am aware of. It doesn't have the issues with the block running into contact interference with the die frame.

Hi,
Yeah they say it's the bow that helps contact on both applications
Flat one for lapped chips...

I like both my favorite is the foundation it was plug and play man it just worked
The signature demo I got needed some tweaking the bow was just too much for the top of my 9940x for some reason so I knocked off about 1/64th off the block not the cold plate.
Works great now though :D

2°C difference between best and worst block... it all comes down to design and price.

I love this block. Been running it a couple months now.

It sure seems like the main limitation these days is getting the heat from the silicon to the block. Power densities are just so high now.....

My CPU can be belting out 80-95C, yet my water temps don't go over 30C hardly.

Good to know!

I am very pleased with my Signature V2 block. It dropped my temps a few °C. It is built like a brick house and looks fantastic. It replaced a Raystorm Pro that has done a really great job for me up to this point, but with my overclocking hobby, every degree matters. I am running it bare die on my 7980XE and it doesn't require as much fiddling with the fit to avoid contact interference with the die frame. I don't like how much it cost, but it was worth the extra money in every way as far as I am concerned. The Pro XE nickel finish makes the liquid metal cleanup effortless compared to copper. I love the springless mounting. I highly recommend it. You can call me a fanboy... you'd be right. Better is better by all measurements.

Hey hey hey!

I finally ordered one of these just a few minutes ago. Still running a 7980XE.

Finally going direct-die, and Signature V2 block.

Optimus had a sale for blemished models for only $109 for a Signature V2!!!

Anyways, time flies man. You usually pop up when I research PC hardware lol. After locating the (Really good stuff) Mr.Fox is in there some where lol.
