vbios update

hey guys,

im currently running asrock rx 5600 xt challenger d 6g oc
if I do the vbios update from their site will it void my warranty?
and what to do if I f-up the update and i wont be able to turn on my computer/black screen

Well assuming that as of this moment you card is working fine...
A bios update would NOT be recommended, especially considering 2 things:
- Vbios'es are almost always bug-free (as opposed to motherboard updates)
- If you do a bad flash on a graphics card then you might get into some trouble (without the possibility for RMA)

ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO FLASH IT? (if yes with what purpose?)

What kind of update is it? Are you looking to increase the memory throughput that they put out with bios updates, or something else ?

does your card have 2 bioses? (check for the bios switch on the card)
If so, then you can just go ahead and flash the update to one of the bios'es (if anything goes wrong remember that you have the other bios).

Although in case of a bad flash "ASRock assumes no responsibility for any damages caused by improper operations of downloading or updating the vBIOS", that is the thing.

So...I tried to flash the bios but before that I wanted to create a backup, but when I clicked on "save" (the backup to the folder I wanted) my gpu stopped working and pc couldnt turn off itself so I had to unplug the psu cable
then I plugged in the psu cable and started the pc and everything went fine and gpu-z shows the right bios (the old one that I had when i turned on pc for the first time) so did I do any damage?

Probably not. But don't update BIOSes if the system is unstable for some reason.

...but you can still adjust your clocks using msi afterburner
you can set it up to apply those clocks on every startup, also may want to create a custom fan profile to avoid throttling and fps loss
