SX8200 Pro is $140. +$10 takes you to the top of the charts. Does the average user feel that $10? Probably not...but for one less Big Mac Meal I'll take it knowing it's there.

I just want SSD production to be as plentiful as possible. Not very long ago, Intel 660p 2TB m.2 were selling under $200. Now just about all 2TB models are above $200.

It's good that more M.2 @ 1TB are going down in price. I was lucky to get a 1TB SN750 last March for about $141 (C$189) and a 1TB SN550 in April for $111 (C$149). Canadian prices are usually much higher but one thing people fail to consider is the turnover time should something go wrong with the product and you need to RMA it. When I had a WD external hard drive fail, it took about 5 days to get the replacement. When I had ADATA DDR3 memory modules fail, it took 1 week to get the RMA authorization and another 3 weeks to get the replacement. Both claims were sent to a Canadian address/depot for fulfillment. I have a friend who experienced the same turnaround time when her new SX8200 failed barely 2 months after purchase. I'm not saying Adata is bad, but I value my time and good/easy support is important for me.

Adata SX8200 only 2c/GB more expensive so I don’t see the point. If we got 4TB capacity and 10c/GB then sure, as a storage drive replacement.

I just scrolled down the NVME drive reviews here on the site, i don't see any gen4? do you not have the gear to test that? I was wondering if the $70 price increase is worth going gen 4 route if you have the right mobo/cpu? from what I can see on other websites it only increases the rand read and right by 1000-2000 mb/s which is probably not noticeable at all for anyone, but the other numbers mostly stay the same when compared with top of the line gen3... so what do you think? just save my money grab a $130 gen3 nvme over a gen4? I have a 1TB SN750 i got on sale for 130 but haven't opened it. you gave it a slightly bad review... and its like 30 seconds slower than this drive here for steam preload game unpacking... hmm...

anyone have advice for me? maybe i should refund my 1tb sn750 and get this? i don't really understand all the numbers, but i just saw the steam preload is better on this drive... or is my preload unpacking actually faster than wizz's sn750 review? cause his sn750 review was 500gb, so if the nvme drive i have is 1tb, doesn't that mean all the numbers will be faster on the 1tb?

No point testing Gen 4 on Intel. New AMD-based SSD bench is in the works, just need to figure out a few new tests and then retest everything

I don't think I reviewed SN750, but the 2018 model. You should be fine, assuming they increased the size of the SLC cache

The only "polarizing" part about them was their sheer lack of performance for the overly high prices ....I bought 6 at the time of their release, was severely disappointed, then sold them & bought the aforementioned drives

What about the Adata Swordfish? Any difference? Besides apparently being worth 10 bucks more for the silver finish. I am looking at the 2 terabyte unit. Falcon at 229, Swordfish at 239.

Been looking for reviews. So far not really seeing a whole lot of them. Half the price of the ones I have now seems a sweet deal.

The 660p and other QLC drives are more than fine. If you have performance issues, you bought the wrong product for your workload in the first place.
