OFFICIAL Cyberpunk 2077 Game Discussion

Well, I've played a little bit more and the game became wa-a-ay too easy even on Hard. Got all the way to the "point of no return"(indicating that I'm near the end), but my inner completionist wants more...
plus i didn't get to mess with any brawling quests and other less important sh#t, nor did I explore the map well (maybe ~40%).
Since now I'm familiar with this psycho-madness of an RPG system, I've decided to restart on the hardest difficulty, though so far the only difference is increased enemy damage and cooldowns. Gonna try and get 100% achievements in one run and clear the entire map. Good way to start a new year :D :D :D
P.S. I'm sure I'm gonna hate myself when I get to driving/racing quests again. These toy cars drive me nuts :banghead:

This is exactly the reason why every naysayer can suck it. Sure the game might be short. Sure the game might have terrible bugs. But the fact that a discussion about a vibrating dick sword is proof that something was done right and appropriate care and thought were devoted.

This.

I'm just coming back to this thread to read experiences in the game. I haven't touched it for a week but still think of the game daily and some part of me wants to go back for a new playthrough... while another wants to wait for the content to get fleshed out further before doing so.

They really need to expand on the city and its emergent gameplay. It has GTA level potential and would require just a few more steps and bits....

This. When I'm running around there is so much detail in the world but so much of it offers no interaction. This game could be so much more than GTA 5.

P.S.: em i the only one who finished the game without any romance? I actually tried hard to get to romance somebody.... the npc's either were putting in the friend zone and just downright rejecting.
Just like in real life

It's insane how in Night City you can level up to the point where an entire gang of bad guys get killed in a few seconds with a single weapon. Entering an area with 30 gonks walking out without a scratch 1 minute later with a trail of bodies left behind - yet I can't get a single date from one of those female npc's that i spend hours in dialog with

Yeah Na join the club you're not the only one

Judy is only available for female V

Not always though out of two playthroughs she's just friend zoned me both times

Did you accept Maiko money? As far as I know that's the only thing that could make her disinterested (and maybe
killing Maiko and showing no remorse. I refused to spend the night in her home the first time, but I still managed to romance her after diving)

nope did neither of those choices

There are quite a few "romance" lines that have no prerequisites or tedious dialogues (at least I think they don't).
Meredith Stout (angry militech bitch from the main quest line), for example. Some time down the road she just called me and asked to meet in a motel room :pimp:
I really don't remember saying anything nice to her, and during that quest I even refused her shady offer.
Some require a little follow-up(not choices, but simply finishing few sidequests). Utimately it all leads to a point where you basically choose between "let's f#$%" and "let's not".

Did you do all sidequests for her? Including the diving expedition?

It is confirmed though from many outlets that:
Judy is for female V only
Panam is for male V only

Can't remember the others but honestly if they really wanted to promote LGBT surely they shouldn't have limit the options right.
You want romance a dude and you're a dude? Go right ahead and vice versa.

Honestly, there's no point to be hung up on that, some people find the way to complain that their V is bisexual instead of being able to be gay. (Like female V talking about her past relationship with men etc...).

I've seen lots of complain about how V isn't a blank state like say the main character of an elder scroll, but I find that it's part of what make the game compelling

I'm not hung about it,just thought if they really want to show how big of a LGBT support they are they could have implemented better.
Things I am slightly bothered about the game after playing good number of hours are:
-Need bit more variety on engine noise from vehicles(need turn radio volume down to get the right balance of engine noise and radio, i like mix of both as i do like cars)
-Side jobs from fixers are bit meh as a lot of them are samey and built for you to get exp, money and equipments
-Credits due it is their first time doing vehicle animation which is something i'm sure they can improve on in future, not make it like we are driving on ice at times

Seriously this whole LGBT bullshit is just that. I bet 90% of the complainers are straight as hell and just know its a perfect vehicle to always have something to complain about, talk about, and draw attention with.

Its trolling taken to ridiculous levels. Its still a minority, its absolutely ridiculous to expect creative vision to adjust itself to a minority instead of 'common choices' of which one COULD be gender-confused or whatever you want to call it. To each their own works both ways, right? I don't need to be reminded of all the possible gender related choices in the universe everywhere I turn. I want a creative product with creative vision, what's hot in the news or on social media has absolutely no place in it - and kills immersion, too.

54 Pages for the official GTA V thread....
CP2077 will probably beat those number of pages. o_O

Except one of the main characters is openly Trans? I mean I could care less about romancing characters in this, the one opportunity that came up I got friend zoned and I just keep playing...

The thing is, with Cyberpunk its really not that out of place is it ? But having the same character on the poster of a Battlefield situated in WW2... yeah... okay.

At the same time, if Cyberpunk was filled to the brim with transsexuals, that would be out of place too. But the trend is clear: its getting more accepted to do something with gender identity, and its not far fetched to find that reflected in the game. To a degree - if its truly everywhere, it should be something that gets supported by lore in the game itself or it'd be equally strange.

My verdict is that Cyberpunk kinda nails it in every way. There is something for everyone unless you really are looking to nit-pick on not finding your perfect fantasy mirror image. The world is diverse and the characters feel credible and unique in their own way, not hung up on some popular notion.

Get complaints from both camps which is always pleasant in the world of social media.
Oh well it's just a game at the end of the day, if they really want to bang a virtual char of their choice there are porn games out there for them to do it i'm sure.

Anyways...How are you guys getting epic components or even blueprints for weapons? Maybe i'm not just looking hard enough..

Edit:
In relation to Battlefield with a female char on poster in WW2,I mean EA just likes kissing social media bottom the wrong way.

Heck they can even get served in Skyrim, and take it as far and long as they like :D Not sure why you'd spend another sixty bucks to get that with RTX ON.

Sucks if you play on console though. No mods for you. :P

Yhea, most of the side gigs are fillers. Some of the hunt in the tw3 were also straightforward, but the differences here is in the massive number of gigs that you get (along with the game being much shorter than tw3).

But at the same time, it looks like the studio is actively looking for quest designer and writers:

Expansion / DLC content and I believe this Cyberpunk release was also a bit of brain drain for CDPR, as people left after promises being unfulfilled. The crunch was and probably still is real, and now its bigger than the team, too, and the only one to blame is management.

Another element that cannot be underestimated is the current Poland and Hungary spat with the EU and their erosion of a trustworthy state with a credible justice department. Its fast devolving over there and the banhammer is coming and has been polished with the recent deal for Covid support funding. Higher educated people are often the first groups to leave a country or at least start looking elsewhere for greener pastures. We saw it many times over, most recently in Hong Kong and ofcourse Britain.

Yhea, it's something that scares me a little. While CDPR had a good rep customer side, I've discovered that the management issues became a real point of tension for a while now, and CDPR isn't really seen as an attractive company outside of the name. The salary is not competitive, moving to Poland is a bit daunting, and working at the studio seems to be really taxing even by the standards of the gaming industry. Imploding from the inside would be the worst thing that could happen, especially in a creative field. You can replace a role, but it's hard to replace the special touch that was bring by a talented individual.

I know that they have a local in California, but I couldn't find what they are doing there exactly. It would be in their interest to start expanding like Ubisoft. Canada is a safe bet :D

Just for fun before New Year's eve. :D

Have you played as female character? She clearly states that male V is not her type. She plays for the other team, unless you're a girl best you can do is friend zone.

And here we observe the elusive missing asset in its natural habitat...

It turns out my crashing issues in this game were caused by my memory being unstable. Maybe Zen+ can't handle 3600MHz C18. Been running at 2933MHz C16, and everything has been rock solid stable.

Glad to hear you finally got it figured out:toast:
