In her 2021 International CES keynote address, AMD revealed a slide with two upcoming reference board designs. The slide which points to what AMD has in store for 2021 illustrates two unannounced graphics cards, and a notebook. The first of these cards is a dual-fan sibling of the RX 6000 series that's been doing rounds for quite some time now, which is very likely the RX 6700 XT. The one next to it is interesting—a card with just one fan, which is likely the RDNA2 successor to the RX 5500 XT. The gaming notebook next to them brandishes both the Ryzen and Radeon logos, which means the company will not only launch the Ryzen 5000 mobile series based on "Zen 3," but also mobile variants of its Radeon RX 6000 RDNA2 series. The best part, all these launch within the first half of 2021.

I’d be curious to see how many packaged cards have left the factory for sale.

And for the new cards, wait for a review as always.......and pricing ;)
 
It's not about what launched/will be launched, but when it can be actually bought by over 70%+ of customer base.
 
By the time these come out and are actually available to purchase Nvidia will have saturated the market with 3060s.

I think we might as well just wait for Lovelace or RDNA3 because that's when current gen will be widely available to general public and not just crypto scum.
 
Gotta say, I've kinda fallen in love with the look of all these new reference cards. Could totally see the dual fan version in my rig...if I ever have a rig again, anyway.

It actually seems the other way around with how rare the 6000 series are. Since the launch of the 6000 series I've seen plenty of drops for Nvidia while almost zero for AMD's GPUs.

Probably not... In most cases, the gap between 2 generations is like 2 years. The slides may put Linda or RDNA3 or Zen4 (Intel even) in 2021 all they want, I somehow see them announced and launched in 2022, and unfortunately probably similarly like this launch went. And if all are on TSMC 5nm, then the same. The whole AMD lineup of RDNA1 and 2 and Zen2 and 3 is the same 7nm process node, meaning same resource (TSMC) is the bottleneck.

We need more foundries...

RDNA3 and Linda both may be a target to miners in any scenario, and I daresay even more if the efficiency/watt increases

Yep.

Where Samsung, TSMC, Intel, GloFo all used to be competitive at the top, now it's just TSMC with Samsung in second place but clearly not at TSMC's level any more.

Exactly, people like to joke about 3000 series availability, but the 6000 series availability is even worse.

Also. Add 13% sales tax on top of those prices AND the shipping!!! The exchange rate doesn’t help either.

Edit 3 - more of point all out of stock. All card from AMD and Nvidia even last gen and 2 and 3 gens ago!!

Doesn't seem to be the case in Germany,

410 + 395 + 205 = 1010 (RDNA2) vs 790 + 410 = 1200 (Ampere)
It is actually notable that the cheapest RDNA2 card is good 100 Euro more expensive than the more expensive NV GPU in that list.

So Fukking true man! no worries... got my card, eBay @ $900 USD, I got tired of waiting and glad i got my 6800 XT when i did!!! Now the 6800 (NON XT) navi21 GL cards are now going for 1100 on ebay... fuk dat... 6800xt are now way over 6900Xt's MSRP 6900 XT was 2k usd last i checked.. cuz scalpers & Ethereum / RTX 30 miners

It's not just the foundries that is the problem that's part of it, but all the mobile tech is taking up a lot of wafer supply as well of the yields that are available. The DIY desktop market has kind of be left by the wayside really in the big picture especially at lower end and mid range that makes up the bulk of the DIY market.
