EU's approval

Gamespot's 2 cents

I dunno if this is good or bad, They are gobbling up a lot of big studios. Hopefully they don’t “EA” them...

I havent followed this since it broke, so no idea what m$ intends. Did they buy this solely for Xbox?

Well I mean they have been actually pushing PC gaming with Game Pass now so I would hope it's for "everyone"

Games For Windows Live.....again!

Sorry should have more clear, solely for distribution the Xbox with integration with Win10.

Yeah pushing my a$$ game pass for PC has only few games plus none of the Microsoft games work for me they all get stuck at the main screen tried every single thing I can think of and found on the forums with no luck.

Yeah that is probably the most likely scenario tho I mean Windows Store is also there too.

Oh god no! the nightmares...
I actually very few issues with games carrying the "Games For Windows Live". Sure, I had a couple games that kind of played like crap that needed tweaking in the .ini files, but overall any game I have or had and played worked fine for me.

I know others had lots of issues with Games For Windows Live.

Been using Game Pass on and off since it was available, lots of games including AAA titles on release, never had an issue with any game I've installed. I own FH4 and FH3 standalone both run fine and integrate into the Xbox App but don't require it.

It's bad, MS and Co own to much of every thing already.

Well that‘s true the article surprised me with the big studios they have already gobbled up.

If there really was an issue there, there might have been an anti-trust case to separate Xbox ( and all it encompasses ) into its own company.

Well that‘s what hurdle they just overcame(Anti trust) but they have definitely been stacking their portfolio. How they use it will be interesting.

I mean way before this acquisition ever started. I understand they had to go thru that process with this merger only to come out smelling like a rose.

Wouldnt it be something if Zenimax suddenly backed out?

I mean they are one of the biggest in the biz so the acquisition alone is surprising that they'd "sell out" but hey 75 Billion isn't chump change either...

I'd say this is bad... However, Microsoft buying EA could only improve both companies, ironically...

That would be great for gaming!
I dont buy anything EA if I have a choice, on the same token, I wouldnt miss EA one bit if m$ bought it.

This is good because there only one direction left to go (up). And Microsoft isn't the Microsoft from 2007.

I think the last EA I bought was Madden 1996. Like you I try to avoid them as much as possible. I didn't see any games that interest me from them for the past 5 years or any publisher really. I was aiming CP2077 but I don't think, I will even bother with that one.

I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I hope they can focus on the PC side just as well on the console. I have nothing against console but I enjoy playing on the PC more.

I mean they already made a statment saying for the time being microsoft aint doing anything and they will keep making the same games
even for playstation

Let's face facts, some of the franchises EA owns are worth-while. I generally grab them when they hit GOG, but that's the only time I buy EA games. That will not change. Same with Microsoft and Bethesda titles...
And Microsoft isn't the Microsoft from 2007.
True, it's much worse...

I'm not typing out a novel to explain that. If you think Microsoft is better now than they were back in 2007, I can't help you on that. I'm just going to disagree and offer Windows 7 as an example of comparison to now. (Yes I know 7 wasn't released until 2009, but the development for it started in 2007 after Microsoft learned from the mistakes of Vista)
