I currently have the following system

generic mother board
amd2500 cpu (64bit)
raedon 9600pro graphics card
1 gig kingston ram
audigy zs sound card
NEC dvd burner/player
creative inspire 5700 5.1 digital speakers
19" widescreen benq monitor

What i'll be replacing and need suggestions for are
-mother board
-cpu
-ram
-graphcs card
-case and power supply

What i'm after is a system that can play all the latest games and will be able to play starcraft II when it comes out. I don't want top of the line because its a waste of money. Basically the cheapest quality system that will meet recommended requirements.

Please give me your advice on what i should get :respect:

TBH, with what your replacing, your actually building a new PC, not upgrading your old one ;)

The best thing would be to sell your current system and put the money towards a totally new one :D (keeping back the monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers etc)

Whats your budget going to be, let us know this then we can help :rockout:

PS: never go by the 'recommended requirements' of a game! 90% of the time its BS and you will need a lot powerfuller PC to run the damn thing!

Thanks for the tip.

Yup build a new system would be more accurate.

So what would you recommend as a new system given that i will keep the monitor, hard disk, sound card and speakers?

Thanks, the price sounds reasonable.

With dual cpu, do you need any special cooling system or fans?

I'll look up those components and see what they are like.

select the top of the line everything in every catagory then get the next best thing to that in each catagory, dont buy the #1 buy the #2 best there is. this will give you what you are asking for and save you as much money as is reasonable to expect to play the latest games.
