My Display Port broken after connecting new Fan controller with 3 fans.

I connected a second fan controller to my pc to install three new case fans (I already have one connected for two case fans) but after connecting it my display port stopped working.
Disconnecting the fan controller doesn't change anything and I can't use display port anymore but HDMI is still working. Fans are working fine.

Case and fans' brand is Rampage. My GPU is EVGA 3070 XC3. There is no DVI input in gpu which means I'm in pretty bad situation I can't get mroe than 60 fps anymore.
Can anybody help?

Thanks.

Have you check DP output with other monitors? I had a similar experiance recently that turned out to be the monitor, not the GPU.

Happened to me recently. Plug the hdmi. Factory reset the monitor. Hold the power button for around 10seconds. Unplug the monitor from the outlet. It worked afyer replugging.

Or it might be that I sacrificed a chicken and poured its blood in a bowl with grains of rice.

I don't see how a fan controller could affect a DisplayPort. I suspect the timing of this problem is just a coincidence - even though I don't believe in [most] coincidences.

I would do a full "cold" reboot of everything. By "cold", I mean unplug all from the wall too. While disconnected, "all" check cables (data and internal power) to ensure securely fastened. Perhaps even swap cables. Or even try a different monitor.

Re-plug everything, re-seat gpu too.

Thank you guys.
I reset the power cycle by disconnecting all power cables for both monitor and psu waited for 2-3 min. and it started working again.
I'm sure it doesn't have any connection to the fan controller itself but eventually you connect it through the psu and some weird stuff happened with the power cables or etc.
Display port is always a problem I wish I had a DVI plug in my gpu.

You can always use “HDMI to DVI” adapter, to use the GPU HDMI output.
I use this as my GPU has only HDMI/DP and my old monitor only has DVI.

But can I have 144fps with that?
Why not? There is no FPS restriction that I know of. This is on the capability of GPU.

My GPU on certain games can deliver 100+FPS with the above adapter even though my monitor is 60Hz.
I’m setting though a 60FPS cap through drivers, for matching.

Monitor is 1920x1200

Umm mate I guess you misunderstood some stuff.

You can get any fps with a sufficient GPU but if your monitor is 60 Hz you can't see any fps more than 60. It can surely deliver more than that and show you it ingame fps counters but you can't see it.
Also with HDMI cables you can't "see" more than 120 fps even though your monitor has 144 or more HZ. (I guess there are newer versions of hdmi cables which shows you more)

So if my display port plug was irreparably broken in anyway unrelated to the cable I had, I wouldn't be able to see more than 120 fps which would be bad.
Well actually I thought it was 60 fps limit for hdmi when I started the thread which was worse for me at that moment that's way I panicked really bad. I just learnt that hdmi has 120 fps limit. I would'nt get that sad if I could see 120 fps which 24 fps wouldn't change much but I live in a idiot country and paid a really big amount of money for my 3070 (8000 turkish liras, which they are now 12000 or something) and I would actually like to use it through its limits.
