The Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 from Microsoft is the industry's first rechargeable notebook mouse with 1GB of flash memory built right into the transceiver. Designed to prevent USB port shortage, the single transceiver is a three-in-one supertool that lets users simultaneously work wirelessly, save important files with 1GB of storage and recharge the mouse while working - all through one USB port. It also provides two kind of connectivity options - 2.4GHz wireless or Bluetooth. A switch at the bottom of the mouse lets you change the mode. The Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 supports Vista's Flip 3D function and features proprietary high definition laser technology, a tilt wheel and two side buttons (Magnifier and Back). Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 will be widely available in October 2007 for an estimated retail price of $99.95. More information about the Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 can be found here.

Overpriced? Check. Bloated features? Check. Proprietary technology? Check.

Sounds like Microsoft. :p

Microsoft used to make the best Mice and they were good price. not anymore

Yea, my first thought was "it's not a logitech" LOL.

I'm surprised they didn't include a wine opener with it

That was before Logitech started to make some really great mice. I own me a new Logitech LX300 (18.88 at walmart, my compaq one was stalling and going out) and it is a beauty.

I like the flash storage feature, though, I wont be taking my Microsoft mouse around with me transfer files

Its a beauty il give it that but its still no logitech VX revolution Microsoft if you wanna set a standard you need to be more price aggressive:slap::slap:

But it wouldnt surprise me if this price is due to complications with mixing a wireless mnouse receiver with 1 GB of Flash memory it would seem to be rather hard (or at least not easy) to do imo though i still dont think that would justify a $100+ price tag anything above that is not worth it cause unless the warranty lasts a lifetime this mouse will probably break or die out on someone before you get your full $159 worth of fun lol:toast::toast::toast:
