ASUS and Noctua Announce ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 Noctua Edition Graphics Card

W1zzard you just have to review this!
Agree, I am curious as to what kind of heatsink Noctua have come up with. I'm sure they've done more than slapping some fans on.

This looks like a fun 3d Printing project. Its already been done but I would love to do the same with Arctic P12s.

Well I wouldn't mind having this GPU in my case, it fits nicely with my other noctua fans that I already have.
Quality/performance over looks IMO.

………because graphics cards aren’t expensive enough………….

;)

Give me RX6700xt/6800 version and I'll buy it

They'll sell. If you can find them....
And oh then the price...

Damn want one ! :D

"Get the cheaper GPU, add a $150+ water block, $100 radiator, $100 pump, and another $50 for fittings and tubing, and you'll have no more fan noise issues." Sure. Or you could buy this, which seems to be priced lower than their top-end 3070 SKU.
Hi,
Leaked price was over 1100.us
Reality this is a 750.us card, nvidia's fe is 500.us with the difference you could just about build a custom loop lol

Function over form.

The fans would be facing down at least on my build so i actually have no problems with it

they would sell without any fans: "just get your own damn fans version"

Function over form? With 4.3 slot design? Sure...

Like you wouldn't have a metric ton of free space since you can't smack in more than one GPU in the motherboard... Even with an mATX setup, you have 4 slots plus some to vent the GPU.

No, it's a $500 GPU. But prices aren't sane, and the leaked pricing was slightly higher than the TUF and slightly lower than their top-end 3070 in the same store/market. No major difference. I mean, a quick PCPartpicker check shows me 3070s in the US starting at above $1300. $1100 is clearly not a sane or reasonable price for this, but at this point, so what? Nothing is.

I’m not sure why they made this? I can barely hear my 3070ti with my case fans on silent mode. :kookoo:

Why not a 3080, it gets way hotter especially the memory.
The 3080 might as well be EoL. All the dies are going to the 3080 Ti and 3090 because it results in far bigger profits. At least stock of the lower-tier cards exists, even if it is still massively overpriced.

Just wondering how much that weights and how much it's going to sag over time if mounted sideways

4.3 slot card, no thanks. Hmm Fat boy...
Noctua fans are great, but I apselutely hate the brown:fear:. It ruined the gpu look. At least give us the option for using chromax.black fans as well. I do have noctua fans in my system, but they are all Chromax black and looks better (at least in opinion).

But I will give asus/noctua credit for trying out something different. The fan coluer and thickness makes it a no go from me throw.

RTX 3070 with Noctua its Price Range (without Mining et al.) should be 980$:kookoo:

A Titan from 2013 for 1000$ looks like cheep as hell for now ;)

no sticker to hide the middle of the fan? :wtf: that pretty raw

That's how the NF-A12x25 looks. A sticker would just cheapen it IMO - there's no way to ensure the sticker is centered, so it would just make the fan look unbalanced. And I'd much rather have a bare fan hub than yet another unnecessary logo.

well at least they could have try make it full/flat plastic instead of just letting it visible

lol, that's the whole point. This is their homage to GT fans.

I asked ASUS for a sample, Noctua made it clear in their press release that they can't provide samples. We'll see if anyone really cares about putting these claims to the test, they'll sell the whole production run either way

It's not exactly rocket science. Perhaps this will move makers to just use real fans instead of the weakass fans they currently use.

For those that have the physical space to accommodate a wide card, I'd love to see more manufacturers offer GPUs with a heatsink that's 240x120 and with a board that has two PWM 4-pin headers.

Conceivably, a standard shroud and heatsink dimension could do two unbelievably awesome things;

1. Reduce build costs and increase profits by consolidating parts across multiple models. I think naively I would have the slimmest hope that these savings can be passed onto the consumer, but I'm a realist and this is 2021 after all...

2. Provide a no-nonsense cooling solution that doesn't rely on RGBLED vomit and dumb plastic bolt-on rubbish to sell a GPU.
