Hello,
(Before you ask, i've checked and the card does actually have 4GB of ram on board, also using a WX4150 or RX560 BIOS bricks the card)
As the title says, i have a Dell MXM 2GB WX4130, and while messing with its BIOS and OCing it, i looked at the memory chips on the card (Samsung K4G80325FB-HC28, x4)
to see what they're rated speed is, i found the datasheet, and much to my surprise when i converted from GBit to Gbyte, the total ram capacity came out to 4GB, not the 2GB that has been reported by GPU-Z, PolarisBiosEditor, and other similar tools (which report the RAM as Samsung K4G41325FE from the cards BIOS.)
Thinking i got a WX4150 instead (which is what i wanted in the first place, long story) i flashed a Dell WX4150 4GB BIOS onto it, which was a bad move since that bricked the card (which i revived with a CHA341A programmer).
Which has left me wondering, is it possible to copy the memory info (memory type, timings and such) from the 4GB WX4150 BIOS and paste it into the WX4130 BIOS and have the card initialize and use the extra 2gb of RAM? Or is there a chance that those chips so happened to be half bad (doubtful), or remarked for some reason? (doubtful, but not out of the question since i got it from Aliexpress)
Thanks.
EDIT: Just successfully increased the cards TDP from 35w to 55w and increased the memory speed from 1500mhz to 1750mhz (its rated speed) edit edit: Nevermind, was encountering memory errors in furmark)
EDIT2: Added EEPROM files of both the 2GB WX4130 and 4GB WX4150.
