Soon after Sony announced the latest PS5 updates, TEAMGROUP's gaming brand, T-FORCE, released the T-FORCE CARDEA A440 Pro Special Series M.2 PCIe SSD for PS5 storage expansion. The SSD uses the latest PCIe Gen4 x4 interface and offer up to 4 TB in storage capacity. In addition to incredible read/write speeds, the SSD is the first in the industry with a white graphene heat sink, a testimony to TEAMGROUP's dedication to bringing the best for its users. The SSD will be available on major e-commerce platforms at the end of October 2021.

The T-FORCE CARDEA A440 Pro Special Series M.2 SSD for PS5 storage expansion uses the latest PCIe Gen4 x4 interface and offers read/write speeds of up to 7,400/7,000 MB/s. According to internal testing by the T-FORCE laboratory, the SSD can achieve a read speed of up to 6,600 MB/s when installed on a PS5 and 100 GB worth of games can be transferred from the console to the SSD in just 80 seconds. During the transmission, loading, and playing of games, the SSD can improve cooling by 16% to help gamers save their brilliant gameplay at ultra-fast speeds and ensure an ultimate gaming experience.



The T-FORCE CARDEA A440 Pro Special Series M.2 SSD is equipped with a white ultra-thin patented heat sink for easy storage expansion on the PS5. The patented graphene dissipation technology (Taiwan Patent No.: I703921; China Patent No.: CN 211019739 U; US Patent No.: US 11,051,392 B2) is designed to be ultra-thin for enough space inside the console for effective ventilation and cooling. How is such a thing not gonna throttle in PS5, there is no heatsink on the PS5 either for the NVME.

PS5 has the benefit of being able to design the case to ensure airflow runs across the drive. Tom's hardware did a test with a SN850 and the temps didn't exceed 72C with no heatsink.

PC's struggle because NVMe slots are usually buried under a super hot GPU with either no airflow or the GPU's hot exhaust as airflow. Current ATX case and motherboard design was designed to accommodate a single source of heat, the CPU. GPU's get away with it because they have their own active cooling, but NVMe doesn't accommodate that.

There isnt any reason its just trolling the buyers.
A cheap NVME SSD with similar rates to a 2,5 Sata SSD Drive makes no diference to a 7GB/s PCIE 4.0 X4 on PS5.

Well u say no that can be true, lets talk about Ratchet and Clank.
There isnt any difference between a 7GB/s SSD and a 480 MB/s SSD may the savegame took 2s longer. :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :twitch:

Whats missing are the 4k QD1 reads and writes., a lot of PCIe4 drive are fast on sequential. And also what the size and nand type the cache is.
 
The PS5 gobbly-gookspeak notwithstanding, I really like the aesthetics of the black pcb w/white heatsink, and of course the read/write speeds...

So glad to see some mfgr's moving away from those gawd-awful pukey-green pcb's that go with absolutely NUTHIN else in a typical build's color scheme :D

But that wallet-emptying $900 PRICE TAG for the 4TB model, well that's anutha story altogether :(

My Friend and me tested a few Configs Seq. Read:
480 MB/s NVME M2
1380 MB/s
3100 MB/s
5500 MB/s

Between the 5500 MB/s and 480 MB/s isnt any difference,
Ratchet and Clank with "no Loading Times" perform well on booth only the savegame took 2s longer.
