As far as I can tell, there's no reason why it won't fit, as the case can fit all that hardware in it. What CPU cooler and PSU are you going to run with the system. How many 3.5' drives are you going to run and are they going to be in RAID 0 or is that the SSDs?

Considering the SilverStone SG-12 is a mATX case, a itx board should fit with no issues it's designed with 4 slot pcie in mind so since your running a Apu you should have loads of space. My current specs fit in a 14litre case so that one at 22litres should be roomy.

SG12 is just a SG13 that's stretched to look like an SG08  should be no fitment problems. More attention should probably be focused on your choice of CPU cooler - 5700G runs relatively cool for what it is, but does still run a bit warmer than the 4650G and 5600G. You can fit a NH-L12S in that case though, I use a NH-L12 Ghost S1 on my 5700G and it handles PBO and a 2300MHz iGPU just fine, albeit with plenty of airflow from 2 x 80mm fans. Will be choked for airflow by the overhead PSU in the SG12 so thermals idk.

Should note, however, that the B550 Strix ITX has only 1 PCIe 4.0 slot. Firecuda 530s are 4.0 drives - the one that you put in the slot on the rear of the board will only run at 3.0 x4 speeds. If you want full PCIe 4.0 performance on both, get a X570 Strix.

Though on second thought, a 4.0 drive stuck on the back of the board with 0 airflow will probably throttle under heavy storage I/O. Off the top of my head I can only think of one ITX(ish) board that doesn't have this problem (Impact) but it's a little expensive for a HTPC.

Alternatively since your using a Apu you could purchase a m.2 PCIe raid card relatively cheap

I could change my mind and use the 2nd 1 TB SSD as backup and storage instead of another HDD. Saving the original 3.5" HDD for storage of wife's original files. I keep telling the wife it's going to be her computer. Her old ASUS AC51 has been good and practically maintenance-free but is old enough not to be up-gradable to WIN 11. I'm waiting to decide on PSU to see how everything looks. Don't figure to need anything larger than 500W and short cables.

AMD Cezanne. It looks all good. I'll put the heatsink and fan on tomorrow before installing mobo. Then decide on PSU and optical drive. Corsair SF450 should be about right? And an Optical drive.

The second M2.2 on the backside was a no fit. I got the with heatsink. oops $280
I could swap them out with the gamer and reinstall Windows and MS Flight Sim 2020
This stock Wraith HSF is apparently not recommended. Needs to blow vertical.

No, the stock cooler isn't recommended not because it's a downdraft cooler, but because it's a Wraith Stealth, the crappiest of stock coolers from AMD. If you want to stick with air cooling, your choices are all downdraft coolers. Something equivalent or better than a L9x65 should be a fine fit for the 5700G, but again, not sure how much airflow you can manage through that case - all downdraft coolers suffer horrendously with poor case airflow.

Yes and space is limited but works well with the cover off ;) It runs 88º/31C @idle right now. I'm studying on the 80MM fans to install. I like the Noctuas and be quiets. I need screw mounts.

The Noctua Cooler meets the measurements and the fan mount should reverse and suck the heat off the processor and blow it into the Seasonic PSU.
