Hello guys,

Just purchased Suprim X 3080 TI and I am trying to get back some cash by mining while not gaming.

For some reason, I can't get more than 73MHs. I am checking videos in the internet and it seems that this one should be giving up to 88.
GPU-Z gives me PwrLimit PerfCap warning, but it never goes up above the 280Watts, while Suprim X should boost up to 440. My friend has ASUS TUF 3080TI and he has no issue.

I have best hashrate with LHR Low Power mode with NBMiner. It has also some strange behavior while it doesn't detect LHR Lock, but just drops the Hashrate to 40 silently.
Tried T-Rex, GMiner, lolMiner and even Team Black.

There are no issues while gaming, BF 5 with Ultra settings on 1440P gives my stable 120-130 FPS.

I have also tried to install a HIveOS and see if problem is with NVidia Drivers, but it has similar issue.

I have read in internet, that there are some GPUs which have some hidden Power Limit and solution is to flash with EVGA bios.

Please let me know, if that is the only solution? I don't want to run those actions with "my precious" :)

You might have a LHR card or low hash rate. Nvidia put in a mining throttle in newer card that throttles down the card when mining is used on the card.

Tjeck for any LHR rating of your card to start with. Begin with post a screen shot of gpu-z here with first tab open in gpu-z. Then can see if the software rapport a LHR card or not

Hi Tom, thanks for your reply.

It is LHR card, and it is locked for mining, but modern miner software can still take up to 75% of its mining capabilities.
Here is the news I was talking about https://www.tomshardware.com/news/increase-mining-performance-on-rtx3080-ti

Also, if you check any mining site, it says, that 3080 TI LHR can give you 85MH https://whattomine.com/gpus/61-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-ti

And my friend with his ASUS TUF 3080 TI LHR gets 88 MHs out of the box without any BIOS updates

So the card is power limited. I think the best way to get more performance out of it then, is to try undervolt the card. That can sometimes free op more power as less voltage need less power and make the card boost higher and in prove performance.

Thanks for the information. I have never tried to undervolt NVidia GPU. Last time I did that with my old 5700XT.

Thanks, I will try

Look at the sticker, does it say EVGA? No? Then don't flash EVGA bios on it. Unless you want €2000+ brick.

Lower power limit, OC memory.

That's my concern as well.

But if you check this original thread on Reddit, there are many successful bios update reports with other Brands Cards
Also, here is a video of a guy successfully flashing EVGA bios to his Inno3d iChill 3080 TI

Thanks guys, I will try to play with voltage

I wouldn't flash another brands 3090 or 3080 bios onto any of my cards. As far as we know this has bricked a few 3000 series cards already. So if your going to attempt this please post back with results. But my advice is dont do it!!!!
