GTX 660 TI v HD7870 for XP/Best GPU/CPU comparison sites

It was undervolted as most (at least older) Radeons had pretty high stock voltage on the GPU. I had a 290 CF later and I also undervolted those as well.
I was thinking of getting the 680 the problem is people say it needs a 550w.Plus the fact it is a longer card 10 inches is the shortest one. It would be a tight fit even the shortest one Unless I took out the Hard drive cage.
One of my fave YouTubers. :)

If you can get a 680 for only an extra 5Eur, got for it. That is still a solid GPU.

7870 2GB vs 660ti 2gb

100% the 7870 :D

Kelper is nowdays totaly junk in DX12 or vulcan games a 670/760 work sometimes even bader than my r7 260X

Did you manage to narrow things down?

I see I am very limited on what GPUs I can get with the maximum length of 9.5.
Any gtx680 are too long as they are 10 inches. :(
Is this a case limitation? Is a drive cage in the way? Remind us, what system are you putting the card into?

Dell Inspiron 620 mt with the drive cage in. :(

i5 2310 2ssd s and a 2,5 HDD EVGA 500W PSU. i also put aUSB3 PCI e card in.
Yes the drive cage is the problem .Here it is not in red i am sorry to say:(.
.

If it was the other Dell 580 which i have with. bent CPU unit pins i would not have had the problem. :( If you remember two ram slots did not work.:(This is the other one which did not have the hard drive
. As you see it does not have then in there.

Fair enough. I still say that GTX760 3GB is your best option. While it's an older card, it's still a reasonable performer and you'll get your money's worth from it.

The GTX 760 3GB one has been sold.But you are right there ,the GTX760 is the one to go for.I see that there are lots of different versions of the card and different length s of the card to. So i will. have to make sure it is a 9.5 one.
I don,t see the point of taking all the Components out of the PC to take out the hard drive cage, I realise why you need to take them out you don,t want bits of metal shorting Components.Here is a video if a guy doing it with a screwdriver and hammer.
. Like he says it is a waste of time .You might as well put it in a new case.It took him ages to do

The 760 and 670 are very similar in specs. If you can get a 670 it would be a good choice. Out of curiosity, what CEX do you shop at? Maybe I can help you sort out a few good choices.

EDIT;
Found this on UK Ebay. 95UK

670 has more shaders (it has even a rebrand - 760 Ti OEM) but yeah, the difference isn't that significant.

See edit, I found an ebay listing you might find acceptable.

Edit;
Here's a 760ti for a reasonable cost;

Edit2;
If you're willing to spend a bit more you could get a Quadro K4200, which is a good card with 4GB of VRAM.

Don,t they say Quadro cards are no good for gaming?As regards the guy selling the GTX760TI he dives no info about it accept used?Another thing os he is new on eBAY people like buying off someone with a bit if history behind them, Plus he only shows one picture of it.

No. Quadro cards have extra hardware & software(driver) functionality for professional capabilities, but they game just fine. For example, that K4200 I linked above has almost identical specs to the 670 we've been discussing, but with 4GB of VRAM and lower wattage requirements. It's also less than 10" long and as such will work well in your system.

I will leave that

NVIDIA Quadro K4200 according to Game Debate it is 149% worse than the

GTX760 SLI. o_O Mind you it only says it is worse than the GTX670 Windforce 4gb edition 72 %``?
I will leave that one out.and get some more info on the 760 ti on eBAY. I will only offer him 80 pounds for it.
They have the 760 at a local branch.Of course i will have ti make sure it is the 9.5. version.

I have narrowed it down to these two cards for my Windows XP Gaming PC.
I am assuming that your WinXP build is for running games released during the WinXP era, which would be between 2000 and 2008 or so. Games newer than that need to go on a retro-Vista or Win 7 build, IMO.

If you want to run comparisons of video cards, compare them against a GeForce 9800 GTX or an ATI HD 3870. Both of those cards were flagships in 2008 (non-SLI/Xfire). The GTX 660 Ti is about 200+% better performance than the 9800 GTX so don't worry about the minor differences between a 660, 660 Ti, or 670 (or K4200). Compared to a 2008 vintage GPU they are all pretty awesome.

Yes you are right there :) I got a of lot of PC CD ROMS cheap and that is why i am using XP.Thanks for all that info :).I will go up to the 760 though.I have Win 7 on another SSD in the PC Along with Win 10 on a third SSD.Although i have another PC with Linux and Win 10 on it with a 1060.There is a GT420 in there now from when it came with Win7.

What do you think about this one £130 it is a mini one.

ZOTAC GTX 960 2GB (ZT-90310-10M) NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Card

Is there any performance difference between this mini one and a full sized one?Apart from the size?

900 series don't have drivers for XP :(

You need to select "Show all OS" on the OS dropdown - Win XP is there.
What do think of those mini GPU,s are they as good in performance as the full sized ones?

ZOTAC GTX 960 2GB (ZT-90310-10M) or should i get this one

DIMENSIONS should i go for it or the mini gtx960 or this one

  • Gigabyte GTX 960 2gb windforce good working order all the same price.£125

    Gigabyte GTX 960 2gb windforce

  • Height: 4.376in - 111.15mm
  • Length: 9.5in - 241mm

A mini card usually is as good as their "long" counterparts. Sometimes the cooler can be weaker and/or noisier, but the card should function just as it's full-sized counterpart.

For example, Zotac had a 1080 Ti mini which should be awesome. https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/zotac-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-mini

But on 960 vs 670, I'd go for 960. It's newer and consumers less power and should perform similarly if not faster.

I agree about the power requirement. I think the 670 will cause you to need a new PSU sooner rather than later and the 960 will be best for all of your OS's runnning on that PC.
