I did look at the results in the game debate and there was not much in it between the 960 760 TI 760 and the 670 just 2% between the 670 and the 960 670 6% 760 TI i see that is an OEM 670 8& 760.The 760 £85 in CEX provided it is the 9.5.the 760 TI is £95 make an offer.The guy does not say much about the condition just says *Used*?I did send him a message earlier today but no reply, i wanted to know more about the condition. Plus the fact he has only just joined ebay June this year.I wish Lex was about to make my mind up.

Yeah 760 Ti is nothing but a rebranded 670. I had a reference 670 which I flashed to 760 Ti just for curiousity.

Like I said, 960 isn't very power consuming so I guess that a little cooler (aluminium heatsink + fan) keeps it cool without being too noisy.

Fully Working & Tested i have a feeling it is longer than 9.5. Is this the same one?
The card measures 241 mm in length That bit on the end makes it look longer.

The MSI specs page states 242mm which is about 9.5 inches.

You're welcome! Glad we could finally get you sorted out with a card that will work well for you! And look on the bright side, that card will last you until you can either get a new system and newer card to match or until you just get a newer card. Next year is shaping up to be a decent year for the tech industry. So opportunities for new hardware at reasonable prices will be better.

A reference cooler is the video card & cooler designed by nvidia. The AIB partners like MSI, Gigabyte, Asus, Zotac make some cards with reference coolers and some with their custom coolers. You posted two examples of non-reference in this thread. One is the Gigabyte Windforce, the other is the MSI Twin Frozr.

I made an offer for it £112 he wants £120 I think that is a good offer for it,whearther or not he thinks so is another thing. There is another one there for £125 make an offer. Once again thanks for all your info on the subject. I hope so.:)

He has accepted the offer I dare say I could have gone lower, Anyway, at least I got it for £ 8-pound lower than his asking price. :)I should have offered less as I see it has gone as low as £90 pounds you win some and lose some. :(As long as it works it will be fine :)Mind you CEX have it in stock for £140 and £120 for the mini that is a consolation for me:)

I just looked in the CEX branch that had the GTX 760 it was a two-fan ASUS one. I just hope I have not made a mistake buying the GTX 960 the GTX760 was £85 pounds. It is too late now though. He has already dispatched it. The cheapest one on the sold items was £91 pounds which were on auction, I have never had any luck on them. :( I have with the make an offer though.:)

Can I sell the old card that did not work on eBay saying *NOT WORKING SOLD FOR PARTS*They could use the fan unit. I don,t suppose the rest of the unit can be used. Mind you with the postage it want be worth selling it on there,
It seems a waste to just throw it out.

Why not google 'e-waste recycle drop off' to see if there are any electronic recycle centers nearby instead of tossing it in the bin.
 
Reading through this thread, I am glad I didn't sell the Asus GTX660 & MSI GTX660ti cards for £20 & £25 respectively!!! I thought I was going to be robbing whoever bought them anyway!!! Both cards still work fine (have repasted both & cleaned them thoroughly) & give 60fps at 1080p on a lot of games that people still play on Steam (neighbours son was using the 660ti until 2 weeks ago when he finally got a new system & playing some fairly recent games with it - which surprised me as the minimum requirements for the games were GTX7xx onwards!)

They will sit on my shelf reminding me of days gone by...

Might see if I can find a GTX970 4GB (cough 3.5GB!) card again for my older 4770K system at the right price (under £80)...

Well, the 700 series is practically a refresh of the 600 series (excluding GTX 745/750/750 Ti which uses newer architecture) so it's not that surprising :)

At £20 & £25 respectively, they would be a steal .at those prices o_OYour, 'll be Luckey at £80?for a GTX970 4GB £180 at Cex uk.
