Hi all, I have just finished my build, and when I turned it on, all the fans spinner to life and my rgb, but it wasn’t displaying anything on my monitor. I think something is wrong with my gpu, but I am not sure. I have a Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming and a Radeon R9 280X. My gpu fans spin, and the leds on it are green, but my motherboard is displaying a white light, meaning it’s a VGA card problem. Any ideas on what to do? The only other problem would be my wifi card, but I tried unplugging that and it didn’t work Thanks in advance

I’m gonna hazard a guess that the 280X doesn’t support UEFI so you will have to use CSM in the BIOS.

Try the card in another system.

Clear cmos to enable csm on your motherboard

Get white sticker pics from card, reinsert card

Do you have an another system where you can test the 280X? Or do you have any other GPU to use with that B450 board? And which CPU do you have?

Sadly no, I am the first in my family to build a computer

How would I go change it?
According to your manual it’s in the Favourites section by default.

I think that OP means that how he is going to change it when there's no picture on the screen at all
Fair point, missed that, because be it a UEFI issue or not at boot to BIOS should be possible regardless and I’d also hazard a guess that by default the BIOS would already be in CSM for possible compatibility issues. I know mine is after a BIOS flash resets it

Though OP hasn't said which CPU he has so it could be a BIOS issue..

At least OP know where to look when he/she gets a loaner

Go to a pc repair shop

Well, 1st I'd simply remove the card, check/clean the contacts, then reseat and try again! Or is this too obvious? :)

I am using a ryzen 3 3100, and the previous owner of my motherboard flashed it to be ryzen 3000 ready, so I don’t think it’s a problem there, and yes you are correct I can’t get to bios screen just black and says no signal.
