help with XFX RX 580 8gb card

Hello all I hope you can help me out, I purchased 2 XFX RX580 8gb graphics cards, from a person on Facebook marketplace anyway I get the cards home and they would not turn on so I switch the display out from hdmi to dvi and still nothing. So I come to TPU and download the amd/ati flash and then find a bios that seemed to match. I say seemed because I find out later from an xfx person that apparently this card was only sold in China. So I then load this bios onto the card and again nothing the card doesn't post and there is no picture so I then switch the output from hdmi to DVI and voila the card turned on but then I realized there were lines on the screen. So I opened a case with XFX to see if they would email me the correct bios and that is where Erik told me my card is rarer and only sold in China and he told me to use this bios https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/211396/211396 , he said it was the original factory bios, so I was stoked and downloaded it but when I tried to flash the bios I received and error message that said VBIOS image not found. Can anyone help me get the right bios?

You should never buy a gpu from craigslist or facebook market without verifying they work first. There is no insurance on there like there is with ebay and amazon

The bios is no guarantee to fix the problem, just a warning you may need to buy a bnib card if the flash doesnt fix it.

yeah usually I test before I buy but I could not get my test unit to fire up.

That should of been a no go then.

You should of had them test it right in front of you, not on yours, let them damage their own equipment.

and possibly expensive unless it really just is the bios being bad. I have to look to see if I took a picture of the bios right after I purchased the card but it appears that they tried to load a bios that was way wrong because it did not even have vram settings for hynix memory. Can anyone help me find the right bios for this gpu?

Get pics of white stickers from the back of card and get a close up of a ram chip, I can help you.

Regardless if bios being bad or not,it is an unknown component that should be tested in their equipment or a shop near by.

Are the pictures I posted of the ram chip and white sticker not good enough?

Thank you so much eidairaman1! I don’t know if you saw but the xfx support told me that bios 211396.rom was the correct bios but unfortunately I think it got corrupted because the checksum did not match

XFX Says 1366 is Gaming mode and 1386 is OC Mode.
