Hopefully, someone out there has a fix for my issue.

My Palit GTX 780 JetStream has been working fine until 2 days ago when gpu intensive games started crashing often. After a PC crash mid-game, I can boot into bios and as far as windows repair with drivers installed. using safe mode I uninstalled drivers and windows boots normally, reinstalling Nvidia drivers New and Older versions will cause an instant black screen.

Have reseated the card in slot and tried different slot on the motherboard (no change). Used DDU to clean out drivers and reinstalled them, this made no change to the black screen.

From what I've read so far the last step is to rewrite the GPU bios (I have never done this before), is there anything else to try before. Also in your opinion is it time to bite the bullet on this card or can it be saved

We need complete system specs. I suspect your power supply is failing

Had the card since new (i don't mess with bios, I don't trust myself not to f it up), could be the power supply I guess that is the same age.

Black screen on all drivers is bad card.
Time for a replacement.

Sounds like hardware issue with the graphics card. Most probably its the gpu itself or some of the memory chips (gtx 780 has got 12 of them), any problem with those can lead to black screens or artifacts. Cuz its an nvidia card, you can use mods/mats to do some diagnostics. If it shows any error, then its straght up a gpu hardware-related issue and you can begin to save money to get a replacement... or try fixing the current 780 Heres a tutorial for the tool, you need to make a bootable stick for it

Yeah sometimes the PCIE pwr from psu is bad as well
will try get info on PSU tomorrow as all the screwdrivers in the house seem to have gone missing. Update got it to boot into windows with a driver installed. however, it now shows a blue artefact sort of thing. it isn't fixed to the exact pixels it will disappear if you cursor over. Oddly doesn't show over white and little grey browser areas.

I can confirm this. Ive seen this artifacting happen on a lot of older cards. Happened more recently on a friends R9 280, There was nothing he could do about it apart from buy a new GPU.
