I got my copy last night at walmart at midnight, there was a long line, most ppl were getting the standard version, I got the limited, and it caught my attention that the box was making a lot of noises when I handled it.

I opened the box immediately, and to may dismay, the game disc was loose inside the box, and it was scratched, I told it to the clerk, and he offered me a new copy, I opened it in front of him and the disk was loose as well, he got another box and opened it himself, only to get the same results.

After opening five boxes he told me that the whole shipment was defective, and that I was out of luck, I could either return the game for a refund, or choose one of the 5 discs that had the least scratches, and try it home, "if it doesn't work just come back to the store tomorrow and ask for me, and I will make a full refund for you" he told me. He is a very good clerk, and I appreciate he tried to help me as much as he did.

I chose the second option, and have been playing through the single player campaign, so far I have not had any problems, but I will send it back to MS for a new copy, just to be safe.

My copy has only some minor scratches, I intend to finish the game and see if I don't have any problems with it.

They should rectify the problem as well as offer free replacements.

Yeah. Got mine today. Also out of the spindle, but no scratches. After putting it back in the spindle I can safely say the problem is with the people packaging it and not the case. That thing hold very tightly when you make sure the disc is securely in place. I tried hitting the case with disc in and dropping it and it didn't budge.

How many times did you drop it.

typical microsoft. save as much money as possible and can't even stick their most anticipated release into a secure case, my Playstation 1 games were sterdier in their cases.
