Folks over at hardware unboxed did some SAM/ReBAR testing with an RX6600 and RX6800XT, on 3950x, 5950x, 10900k and 12900k.

Naturally if your hardware and support game 'stars' are aligned, the gains can be impressive, but it looks like a pretty big dose of YMMV on whether you get the uplifts or not.

Sucks that 1080 Ti doesn't support it but doesn't RX 500 series support it?

Surprisingly little difference and sometimes it's better without BAR/SAM.

It's all over the place. I agree with the video thumbnail. It's a mess. Even in games that have good support it. Look at Forza Horizon 5 data. 6800 XT paired with 3950X and 10900K does 0 anything. But pairing with RX 6600 does. OTOH 12900K and 5950X don't have this issue and uplifts for both 6800 XT and 6600.

Certainly seems that way. I suppose based off their testing it's worth having on, as there is little in the way of negative impacts, but positives also seem few and far between.

Especially since they tested limited combo's in relation to the insanely vast array of possible ReBAR supported hardware combinations... A mess indeed.
