Having problems with installing AMD driver for Rx 5700, shows error code 182.

My system
CPU: Intel Core i9 11900K
Motherboard : Asus Prime Z590-A
Ram : Corsair 32 GB (16x2)
GPU : AMD Radeon RX 5700 (in GPUZ shows Vega20/VII)
SSD: 1 TB Samsung 980 PRo
PSU: Cooler Master Gold 1250W
Tried on fresh Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Im frustrated by seeing error code 182 every single time when i tried to install Radeon driver for my GPU.

Im using HDMI cable plugged with my GPU and the display working, But in the Adapter option it show Microsoft Basic driver.

I tried to install latest driver from AMD.com and but show Error code 182 (GPU not detected)
I changed bios setting for PCI to Gen 4 but didnt worked,
tried to clean install in safe mode but didnt worked.

Read all the blogs and tried all things but didnt helped.

If anyone can help me to get driver installed.?

thanks

Sounds like your GPU needs to be returned for refund.

i recall someone posting about this issue a few months ago and it ended up being a setting in the BIOS the user had to change

True, as i remember it was something regarding the main board BIOS.

True, as i remember it was something regarding the main board BIOS.

Looks like its a used card with the wrong bios, look at the default clocks

Do a motherboard bios update first, then get a pic of the white stickers on the card back(exclude the Serial Number)

Also it says Vega 20, not Navi, are you sure you have a navi card and not a vega? The bios installed stays true to the gpu core, eg you can't install a gf116(fermi) bios on a Maxwell (gm)or kepler (gk) core

1002 66AF tells me Radeon VII (Vega Based) but only the Vega 56/64 had 8G HMB, this is showing GDDR6

VII had hbm2 as well, looks like someone tried tampering with the bios and since Radeon RX Vega 56/64 the bios can't be modded in any way, the bios are digitally signed and if the bios is tampered with the drivers will fail to install every time, you can thank miners for this.

I suggest the pics then removing the gpu heatsink to get pics of the ram chips to include a close up of the White Silkscreen stencil on 1 ram chip.

+1
If that is not an option try flashing the correct bios.
Worked,

By flash bios using ATIVBFLASH tool and AMD 5700 rom from https://www.techpowerup.com/download.

GPU detected correctly and the drivers get installed.

thanks
