AMD GPU Prices Fall Below MSRP in Europe, NVIDIA GPUs Approach the Baseline

Well, nothing is stopping you to buy from anywhere in the EU. I live in France, I got my best deal on a 6900XT from Amazon Italy.

Which is great until you have to RMA something. For that reason alone I very much prefer to by as local as possible.

There's more and more companies that limit shipping to just their country. Some stores even prohibit use of resending services like Mailbox.de. Even Amazon has more and more items they don't send out of their country.

Open EU market apparently isn't a thing any more.
Well, I haven't noticed anything different, excepting the UK, for obvious reasons, I'm buying from Germany, Spain, Italy, and Poland, without any issue at all.

Depends on when you started looking. Or where you are from, possibly. 10 years ago almost every company on Geizhals.eu was willing to send to Slovenia, for instance. Now? I'd say some 20%? And all the major stores like Mindfactory.de, Computeruniverse.de, Saturn, Proshop, all direct stores like Nvidia, Asus... don't "export" any more.

That's actually a nice price. For two cards (you said "3080s").

Edit: Joking aside, even Microcenter has Ampere in stock. In the past they didn't even list these cards.

Yea, more than one card has that price range, so its not just a one off.

still a little above msrp in Switzerland but finally a RX 6600 XT (non XT even more ) are in my financial range (maybe, why not ... during a blue moon probably?)

although for what i play @ 1620p75 the 1070 i have is surprisingly holding well ... but i have upgrade itches ... that i managed to silence for a while by changing Mobo/CPU/RAM/PSU last year ...

Is it worth it for only 56% higher performance on average?
I think not.

Maybe the RX 6750 XT should be your target since it is around 90-100% faster.

Prices in Canada are getting below MSRP for some models of the 6700 XT and below tier. The lowest prices are listed below:

GPUPricePrice in USD
RX 6600349270
RX 6600 XT399309
RTX 3050399309
RX 6700 XT490379
RTX 3060499386
RTX 3060 Ti649502

I don't see why anyone would buy any of the Nvidia cards in this table if these prices hold true.
