Are these temps safe for gaming?

RTX 2080 ti during gaming (elden ring)

Wondering if these are safe to run multiple hours of gaming or if I should consider applying new thermal paste to the die and changing the thermal pads?

I should also mention this card (when not used for gaming mines crypto 24/7)
I've had the card for about 3 or 4 years. I've replaced thermal pads and thermal paste many times in the past on GPUs so it wouldn't be too much of a hassle for me to do it again for this card. I suspect all the "crypto mining" I've done with it probably has worn the thermal paste and pads faster than if I hadn't used the card as much. Just wanted to get a 2nd opinion.

Obviously the MSI AB settings you see there are NOT the ones I use when I mine crypto. When I mine the temps are more decent, around 59-60c for the gpu, usually around 65-70c max for the hotspot and mem temp.

It's also possible that Elden ring isn't as optimized as it ought to be (as its a port) I haven't tested many other games to compare the temps I get there, maybe I should do that. But just by seeing those temps I showed earlier, what would you do if you were me?
 
The question I have is why you gaming and mining on the same rig? I don't mine but the Temps to me seems fine

Just wait for a second opinion though

I had the extra room and power to spare... long story. I've got 3 seperate rigs, and this PC I use for all 3, working, mining, gaming...
its not too big an issue, its an open air case with plenty of air circulation in the room.

I'm just thinking: maybe I'm due to replace the thermal paste and pads on that gpu. I just replaced my thermal paste on my CPU and the temps difference was HUGE

why're you mining? you're not going to get much unless power where you are is cheap.
 
I haven't seen my card hit 90 yet, so it seems a bit warm to me..

Ok replace the thermal pads and paste with really good stuff then undervolt the card and see if it will be stable under stock volts.

thanks guys. I just checked again and today's hot summer day, my card is sitting at decent temps whilst mining:

its really only when I pop into elden ring. I'll test on other games too to see if the temps are Dramatically lower on other titles. I'll probably replace the thermal paste and pads anyhow. Given the intense 24/7 usage I do with this card, it makes sense to give it regular maintenance :)

as far as WHY I am mining... well in spite of the cruel drop in cryptos of late and the grim outlook for the overall economy it might seem dumb to be mining indeed, but in my case, electricity is super cheap where I live and even if I only make a couple extra hundred dollars per year with my mining, im fine with it.

If it becomes largely unprofitable even with my current electricity costs, I'll drop the mining endeavour but for now I'll keep at it :)
 
Your hot spot temperature seems to be high relative to your GPU temperature in elden ring. I had thought the difference between GPU core temp and hotspot temp should only be about 15°C.

what thermal paste do you guys recommend for a gpu?
I hear some pastes are great for short term OC results, thats great but Id rather put a thermal paste which is more durable so I don't have to repaste too soon. Especially given the HEAVY usage I make with this graphics card

Thermal grizzly kryonaut. Spread it very slow with the applicator. Spreading too fast won't be as uniform.
Make sure you get the correct sized pads for your card or contact will be poor somewhere.

Yeah I bought multiple sized pads just to make sure
