Low latency or 1066 Mhz? Wich is better in a C2Quad system?

the best thing for a c2q setup is bandwidth. throw as much bandwidth at it as possible. higher frequencies give higher throughput, i.e. higher bandwidth. go with the 1066.

OMG. this is just wrong...
A C2D doesnt get extra performance trough higher bandwith. For a c2d it doesnt matter if its high bandwith or low latency.

That's backwards that's AMD that likes high speed vs lower speed better latency.
Not on my system. 1000MHz 4-4-4-12 is faster than 1200MHz 5-5-5-15 (or 18, can't remember).

yea? no. try it on your system. run your ram at ~600 mhz with really aggressive timings, and then run it at stock. i guarantee stock will do better.

Go for higher frequencies with Intel, lower latencies with AMD.

Man Really. 600mgh with agressive Timings? Okay lets do 600 3-3-3-9 agaisnt
800 5-5-5-15 It will be the same.

I atm a Proof for this isnt that simple my ram cant do 600.

Hey! Peace brothers!

Ramdom Murderer says thah the C2Q (the quad, not the duo) works better with higher bw. Probably the duos work better with lower timmings as suggest gR3iF and Wile E...

see you :toast:
