Kinda underrated cards. Mine is fine for 4K60. I have this one: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/powercolor-fighter-rx-6700-xt.b8736

Already is a 6000 series club. Is there really a need for specific cards?

Why and why not. 6800+ cards have those driver issues etc., we don't have.

A mod already moved this thread here as it was accidentaly in a wrong subforum, so I guess that it was kinda of a blessing.

Actually it's not just 6800 and up with issues but okay.

Can you guys elaborate what drivers issues? I have an 6800xt on order to play with AMD but I would like to know if I should cancel it.

It's the power issues that's "killing gpus" all over the tech news. It's gonna get fixed soon. You'll be fine.

Oh, the extra power draw when idling? Okay.

No. There have been some cards that went for repair that had failed completely, and the person repairing them assumed the latest driver was to blamed since it was the only common thing with those cards. It has been debunked pretty much since then

yes the 6700 series is TOTALLY immune to navi 3x issues that other cards have lol

Are you talking about the 7900 xtx MBA debacle?

The cause of which is still unclear, but to err on side of Safety, avoid Adrenalin 22.11.2 for now. It's also be postulated that some were able to somehow install Adrenalin 22.12.1 and this was the cause of the problem as the driver was meant for RX 7900 serries cards. Adrenalin 22.12.2 is said to have locked out all previous cards from installing, but the previous version, Adrenalin 22.12.1 lacked this hard lock feature.

The issue with those MBA RX 7900 XTX was due to poor QC, the coolers were made by a 3rd party I think, and apparently staff at AMD forgot to read the memo about checking on the quality of the coolers. Apparently, the vapor chamber was faulty, that led to hotspot temp getting hot, really HOT at 115C!

No, 6800 and 6900 apparently failing in higher percentages recently according to a repair shop

Thanks folks. I don’t mean to hijack this thread but just when I want to try AMD again…

6800XT is def a good card. Think around 3080 performance but more vram.

If the 6700 XT cards were to also have the same assumed problem (getting too much power) wouldn't temps be way higher than normal?
I recently got a 6700 XT and after some monitoring well I don't think the temps are abnormal but I confess I'm not sure what temps are normal for GPU's since I don't monitor it that much and tend to run at stock. Zero rpm mode causes my GPU to idle between 35-45c and gaming maybe reaching 75 junction temp.
I've been running 22.11.2 for several days now. (not to be confused with 22.12.2)

Interesting, my 6700XT has zero issues sticking to 2.8ghz (2.7min/2.9max), but if I switch that memory timing to "fast" it becomes extremely unstable...
Ya don't really mess with memory things on 6xxx.

Didn't have any issues, but my Rx 6500 Xt doesn't belong in this thread. Overclocked pretty well though. They should lift the frequency block, cause 2975mhz with an under-volt seems to be no problem.

When I got this card, my friends in discord said first to put that to fast mode. Not a single issue here.

There is absolutely no issue with the 11.2 or any other driver version that can result in a cracked GPU.
That's the dumbest thing I've heard this whole week and the person behind it should be ashamed of suggesting this nonsense.
If they haven't put down that video already, they are doing it on purpose for the clicks and exposure.
I'm glad that TPU didn't put this up as a news item the way Videocardz did.

Yeah but people love drama and ate it up anyway.

It does seem kinda silly. I'm waiting for some more reliable data before worrying about it too much. A sample size of 1 repair shop isn't enough to send me into a panic.
For all we know these GPU's could have come out of Hillary's email server (bleachbit and hammers)

What resolution you others use when playing games? I'm surprised how fine this runs games @ 4K60.

1440p. I don't like 4K on anything smaller than 32" and I prefer using a 2x27" setup to 1x32". But I had my 4K TV hooked at some point and can confirm - 4K/60 is def an option for most games ^^

Exactly, 4K 32" here and a 24" 1080p as a secondary monitor. :)
