HELLO DARKNESS MY OLD FRIEND - Some people are afraid of the dark. Here on Drop, more than a few are friends with it. If you lean away from the light in your own personal aesthetic, you've come to the right keycap set. Meet MT3 Darkness: a truly shadow-infused typing statement, with an ultra-satisfying profile you won't find anywhere else. A study of the dark in all its shapes, shades, and forms, this set features charcoal, almost-black keycaps with slightly lighter, dark-gray legends.

It's a look that gives depth to Darkness - supported by a profile that gives it height, too. That's thanks to our tall, vintage-inspired MT3 profile, which features scooped keycap tops and a sculpted shape between rows to create a retro typing feel with a modern flourish. This exclusive feel is actualized with durable, doubleshot ABS construction for exceptional texture and legends that last. This is Darkness that doesn't quit.

MT3: RETRO & MODERN, STURDY & SATISFYING
Our first-ever exclusive profile, MT3 is a reimagining of retro typing experience—with a look and feel that's made for the modern user. Designed in collaboration with Matt3o, it's based on the original beamspring terminals from the 1970s and heavily sculpted: meaning the contour from row to row forms a concave shape, designed to minimize finger travel. Each MT3 keycap also sports a scooped top: a nod back to beamspring terminals, with a slightly refined shape to better fit today's boards. Made from durable ABS with doubleshot legends, keycaps in the MT3 Darkness Keycap Set will darken your desktop for many keystrokes to come.

a keyboard called Darkness that isn't covered in Vanta Black is a shill product

I love how slick these keycaps look. Perfect for a stealthy build. I wish they used PBT instead of ABS tho'. I am worried they'd go shiny rather fast :(

In drop they were actually being listed as PBT when they released, i guess by mistake. If you want PBT you won't get doubleshot with MT3 though, your best bet are dye-sub PBT and there are a few of those (like, 4).

It seems like it. I use factory ABS caps which came on my Keychron K4 but they turn glossy and smooth already. I am not a fan of this. Dark themed double-shot PBTs would be an instant buy for me. Dye-subs seem to be available only in brighter colors, so I'll pass on them. Thanks for heads up though!

I have a beige set of these keycaps and they're excellent. Love the profile and they're cupped really nicely like an old set from something akin to a Commodore 64.
