Laptop has a corrupted vbios. Trying to flash my RTX 3080 mobile on my laptop and getting this mismatch at offset error below. I have tried several versions of nvflash and the 7.35 is the only one that lets it get this far even. I am using protectoff first before attempting this. I grabbed a copy of this vbios from another of the same model of razer laptop. I have seen posts online of people being able to reflash and change their vbios for the razer blade 15 advanced series and I am hoping someone here maybe knows what I am doing wrong or missing?

To followup --- I have tried a few other vbios on techpowerup with the matching DeviceID in GPUZ. They all still throw the same exact mismatch at offset error when trying to update.

What specific mobile?

What specific mobile?
RTX 3080 Mobile --- Razer Blade Advanced 15 2021. Unless you mean like device ID?

Anyone got any ideas to try? It is a simply vbios flash keeping me from getting my laptop working right and I have not found anyone who knows to to get past this error code.

Bumping to see if anyone else has any ideas --- have not found a way to be able to force a vbios flash yet --- always ends in the same mismatch at offset error.

The fact that it says the flash has gone through successfully, but then reads back FF instead of 4E, suggests that it is reading garbage back. This could either be because the laptop is actually disallowing the flash (because you're using an old version of NVflash that doesn't understand how that specific VBIOS chip works, or because you need to use the manufacturer's specific BIOS flash tool); or because the BIOS is physically damaged so that it appears to accept the flash, but can't actually write it to the broken chip.

The other thing is that in laptops, VBIOS is often integrated into the standard BIOS, so trying to update the VBIOS alone won't work.

I would suggest trying to get an official BIOS update, with an official update tool, from the manufacturer and using that.
