Upcoming Hardware Launches 2025 (Updated May 2025)

@W1zzard Minor nitpick, but isn't "Ada next" called Blackwell?
The *100 chip most likely yes. Not sure if consumer variants will use the same arch even tho last two Ampere and Ada did use the same arch across all *100 and *102 etc chips.

I'm not sure, so I kept them separate
"Ada next" cannot be wrong, so there's that.
Be that as it may, the bad news is the launch is slated for 2025 now. If high-end releases Q1 (which hasn't happened in a while, if memory serves me well), we're looking at two more years before something replaces the "stellar" 4060/4060Ti :nutkick:

So nVidia is still planning to release 4030 sorry "4050" this year expecting another flop of release for GPU priced a little north of $200(which should be a sub $100 GPU).

I note the 4050 was supposed to launch in June.

Did Nvidia cancel it because 6GB products are worthless in today's market?

Alder Lake-N launched in January 2023, motherboards (at least the Asrock N100M) and NUCs (strangely, not by Intel themself) based on these chips have been available in retail at least since May.

Correct, removed

New desktop APUs can't come soon enough. Tired of seeing overuse of Vega architecture on iGPUs. I guess it'll make the RDNA3 APUs look really good!

Ada NExt may be in 2025 but I can't help it. Something is coming sooner. Can't be nothing at all for 18 months.

It's still a rumor.
It is the official roadmap... Compute comes first in 2024, then consumer in 2025.

Nice road map or whatever. Why is TPU censoring the Xbox voice chat reporting news?

I'm not aware of anything. Please elaborate. I'm not even sure what Xbox voice chat is .. I've never owned a console faster than the original Game Boy

Thanks but this topic is for hardware related upcoming. For the "AI"-Bot censoring conversations between players in multiplayer using Xbox, for hate speech is nothing new. It has been talked about since the end of winter.

What is your opinion about waiting for meteor lake cpu upgrading because '50% improvement in energy efficiency over Raptor Lake'?
(As there is no guarantee they release a desktop cpu)

It depends what you're upgrading from. If you're on Alder Lake or later, definitely wait. Otherwise, it depends on how old your CPU is and you do with it.
