So the Dishonored IP is dead forever now?

I really liked the dishonored series, although in the later ones towards the end of the game(s) you become an indestructible tank. I also wish the maps had been bigger w/a lot more civilians -- maybe along the lines of Fallout 4 or GTA V.

I'm guessing the dishonored franchise is dead now since the last, stand-alone game in the series, Death of the Outsider, eliminates the prime move behind magical powers in the game. It would've been interesting to see what happened to Delilah (i.e. is she still in her eternal prison).

I'm not familiar with that series. I've always wondered though.

Maybe you can try the Comics, or the books ?
Or Deathloop by the same studio, it's the same universe ?
That's said, the IP is "resting for now" said lead designer Ricardo Bare :/

I tried Deathlook but it did't do the same for me as Dishonored 1 & 2 did, like Death to the Outsider didn't really catch me but I need to try again, maybe from the beginning when I got time.

I really enjoyed the first 2 games in the series.

Not according to that leaked Bethesda document... Fallout 3 Remastered might be coming as well!

Unlike Fallout 4 and GTA V, Dishonored is a stealth game (for players choosing to play it as such).
I think Dishonored franchise in general had a top notch level design, which would be difficult -if not impossible- to pull with a very large environment.

Mass Effect 3
had endings ranging from galactic annihilation to destruction of mass relays, the main premise of the franchise
, that didn't stop them from making Andromeda.
What kills a franchise is the owner losing interest in making more of it, either for financial or artistic reasons. Ending of the last entry can always be worked around or retconned.

Played both dishonored. Liked them both, shame if they don't keep it up.

Gamelinked on YT talked about some ZeniMax have listed some new games even Dishonored 3 and a Fallout 3 Remastered o_O

A Fallout 3 remaster would be interesting but maybe only if it uses an entirely new and different engine.

I don't really see where the Dishonored franchise can go. , so where are magical powers going to come from? Unless maybe they do something w/Delilah or Billie Lurk.

Did Billie Lurk get back her own eye and/or forearm at the end of Death of the Outsider? Or is her condition permanent?

Or just do New Vegas for the better version, and honestly I don't see the need for a remaster.

Anyway, I've never played Dishonored but I've seen a lot of people saying it's like a "spiritual successor" to Thief (NOT COUNTING THE REBOOT), is that actually true? I've also gathered that you can just murder everyone you meet in Dishonored, and that is extremely far from what Thief was about.

Murdering everyone (or even too many people) in some instances of the Dishonored franchise results in the bad/high chaos ending. Of course, this isn't true in the case of the Daud the master assassin DLC.

Thief doesn't have any magical abilities for the protagonist does it? That would be a franchise it would nice to be see a reboot of.

Magic does exist, but Garret (the player character) does not have it. He has a blackjack, water arrows (arrows that extinguishes torches), rope arrows (arrows that creates ropes you can climb) and moss arrows (arrows that spreads moss that lets you sneak silently on those horrible tile floors). You do have a sword, but going against any number of enemies that are more than one is essentially suicide. Which makes sense. You're a Thief, not a Warrior, or even Monk.

In the Dishonored franchise by the time you acquire all the powers and equipment you're pretty much an unstoppable tank, although beating Corvo as Daud (in the DLC for the 1st dishonored) is something I've never been able to do.

Thief is crying out for a sequel.

There is a project about New Vegas in Fallout 4 it been in works since like 2017: https://twitter.com/project_f4nv

But even this big mod takes time, maybe Bethesda is waiting to see how this goes before being like that's the remastered we wanted to do

No, Dishonored is an immersive sim, different from fallout or GTA.
