20 min of furmark
Just why. Use proper testing software next time. 3DMark Time Spy, or Superposition.

But your readings are more than fine regardless, yet fans are rather spinny.

I wanted to see worst case scenario. I already get well below that with 3dmark and actual gaming. Fans at 90% aren't too bad on this card.

I would like to see the utilization in Superposition 1080p Extreme.

I'm not sure. How about your power supply? What PPT limit does HWinfo show?

Max power limits are up to the GPU vendor to set in the VBIOS, I assume.
PPT Limit is 210 watts.By the way hwinfo lists the total graphics power used as 210watts during benchmarking.I dont think anything is wrong with the power usage.PPT is usually at 100 percent too

Yep, that's absolutely fine.

Factory paste removed and replaced with a PCM-1 phase change pad. Also used thermal putty for VRAM. How does it look with a moderate OC after 20 min of furmark?

It looks good, except that I'd never ever use Furmark for anything. It's not only unrealistic, it can also damage your card in worst cases.

Ok no furmark, got it. How do we feel about Kombustor and it's various tests?

I liked their Pascal age Dual cards design much more than that of newer generations but congratulations.

Factory paste and pad job on an MSI Mech 6750xt OC model in case anyone was wondering.

And the PCM-1 sheet I replaced it with

The heatsink looks better than expected. IIRC, the Gaming X usually is better than the Mech, if it's like what I saw with RDNA1. I have a Mech RX 5500 XT 8 GB and I have trouble cooling it, but even the Mech has a heatpipe, so anyone with trouble, may be better off with different TIM on the GPU.

So I've talked before (probably on the 6000s owners club) that my card had an awful delta of 30~40C while gaming.

Well... take a look at the stock thermal paste application.

Man. It was MISSING A SPOT.

Junction temp delta went from 30~45C to... 10~15C after repaste, lmao.

, better temps, better clocks, slightly less power and low RPM fans ...
Dude, you've made the good decision ! Well done !

After running DOOM Eternal for one hour (yesterday night) :p

Running Atelier Ryza (today)

Honestly, I didn't expect for it to *literally* be missing a spot. Edge temp isn't much better, but junction temperature on DOOM Eternal sometimes got up to 103C

What paste did you use on the re-paste and what temp monitoring software is that? Seems text based.

I had NT-H1 on hand, so I used that. Not the best for bare die for sure due to pump-out, but the insane delta between junction and core was irking me, specially with such an overspec'd cooler for a 158W card.

The monitoring is https://github.com/Umio-Yasuno/amdgpu_top, 'tis on linux.

Interesting that do I get more performance out from my 6700 XT as I'm getting a 5800X on monday. Need to do some benchmarking with my 3600 before upgrading.

It will be interesting to see how much the 3600 is bottlenecking the 6700XT

Not much if any. You're playing at 4K as far as I remember and 4K destroys this GPU. Only the CPU-heaviest games will start behaving better.

I have an RX 6700xt Fighter and a silencio 550 as case (terrible airflow btw)
Is it normal for amd cards or it is just my case but there is 20 to 30 c between gpu temp and hot spot ??

Is that when the GPU is under full load, or while idling? How high temperatures are we talking about?

It depends on what you're playing. I have a potato sample Fighter 6700XT and it's deltas hang in the 20C range at worst but I haven't played any very high demand games like CP2077 on it recently as it's my swap GPU (still getting tested in a range of builds).

I had 30C ish deltas which got fixed after repasting.

Perfectly normal as I have the same card and the cooler is horrible. That's why I swapped to a Morpheus II (had to modify it slightly to fit).

Morpheus huh, havent heard of it in eons
