System Name Not so complete or overkill - There are others!! Just no room to put! :D
Processor Ryzen Threadripper 3970X
Motherboard Asus Zenith 2 Extreme Alpha
Cooling Lots!! Dual GTX 560 rads with D5 pumps for each rad. One rad for each component
Memory Viper Steel 4 x 16GB DDR4 3600MHz not sure on the timings... Probably still at 2667!! :(
Video Card(s) Asus Strix 3090 with front and rear active full cover water blocks
Storage I'm bound to forget something here - 250GB OS, 2 x 1TB NVME, 2 x 1TB SSD, 4TB SSD, 2 x 8TB HD etc...
Display(s) 3 x Dell 27" S2721DGFA @ 7680 x 1440P @ 144Hz or 165Hz - working on it!!
Case The big Thermaltake that looks like a Case Mods
Audio Device(s) Onboard
Power Supply EVGA 1600W T2
Mouse Corsair thingy
Keyboard Razer something or other....
VR HMD No headset yet
Software Windows 11 OS... Not a fan!!
Benchmark Scores I've actually never benched it!! Too busy with WCG and FAH and not gaming! :( :( Not OC'd it!! :(
I was just curious everyone as I'd recently found that we do have a member @AusWolf putting his efforts into some work units there and I've managed to find a log in for myself, so if someone would like me to start this, as much as I'm trying to pull away from it, I'll add it in to my daily updates :)

As the team is just two currently, it won't take long but I just wished to ask the wider audience to see if there was any wish/want for reports to start going up for it :)

Please drop a message down below!! :)

If anyone needs details about the team, how to join, etc, just message here.

C'mon guys, if a real time map for the Milky Way isn't exciting enough, then what is? :)

I'm also in the Universe@Home UK group, but we could have a TPU one if anyone is interested.

I've done a fair bit of this project in the past (72M points worth). Maybe I'll use this as an excuse to do a little more, saves having to use the heater at least and I can put my old HD 7950 back to work ;).

An important thing to note is that this project mainly uses FP64 compute so older gpu's are still totally viable and you should also set the config to run multiple WU's at once for maximum throughput.

Really? It doesn't run on GPU on my systems for some reason (I have both AMD and Nvidia, as well as Intel iGPUs).

Okay I just checked myself it looks like they're no longer running GPU WU's now.

Yeah, shame. Still runs on CPU, though. :)

Anyone know why no more GPU WUs? I run Einstein@Home for GPU stuff since WCG and Rosetta don't usually use it

The logical explanation is that they do not have data/WUs optimised for GPUs. And GPUs are painstakingly slow for unoptimised computation. But I am not affiliated with the Milky-Way project, so this is just my educated guess.

So Einstein@Home has GPU? Does it have a TPU team?

I'm kinda curious about a milky way real time map but i really don't understand what you all are talking about o_O

The Boinc Project Milkyway@home

They stopped the GPU units, because they have their science done with them:

Separation Application Shutting Down on Tuesday, Jun 20th
Hello everyone,

Thanks for your discussion on the other thread (https://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/forum_thread.php?id=5007). Based on your input we have decided to turn off Separation this Tuesday. N-body will still be running, and we appreciate anyone who wants to help crunch work for that application! I am not able to give you an exact time estimate because it's not clear exactly how long it will take to properly shut things down; however, I expect it to be sometime around noon EDT (1600 UTD).

We would like to once again sincerely express our gratitude for all the help that you have given in crunching for this project. We have learned a lot from Separation, and it's all thanks to you. We hope to see you stick around and help us continue crunching Nbody work in the future!

Best,
Tom

I do exclusively GPU for E@H. Make a team and let's goooooo
Hm... you made me curious. I'll probably look at it in the next few days. :)

I don't know why I haven't done Einstein@Home before, but I think it was something during registration. I'll have a look. ;)

I'll keep an eye on this thread. I've got my Titan Xp in the server crunching away with -50% power limit (doesn't really effect compute tasks or Pascal power scaling is just that good) since both my 6950XT and 7900XTX have some nasty coil whine on compute tasks. Tinnitus rave.

Love science, but i wish the interest was much higher. I feel like an outlier.

Thanks everyone for the feed back!! I wasn't expecting so much!!

If there's more groups and such people would like to join and make, let us know so we can follow!! :)

Oh, that's mighty powerful for crunching! My BOINC system is my living room HTPC with an 11700 with its turbo off (flat 2.5 GHz) and a 1050 Ti. Both of them are passively cooled, though. :)

Well I thinks we need a team. I'm not sure how to go about that
Same here. Also, I need to wait until my fist completed WU/credit is registered in the system before I do anything.

Okay, I found out how to create teams on Einstein@Home. Who's interested? :)

Who's hoping to be doing the reporting on it?? :) If anyone is wishing too? I might have opened a trap door for more reporting to do by myself!! I hope everyone is doing well and is OK!

I don't know how to, but I can if there's enough interest. :) (I'll definitely regret this later) :D

Although I have to add, I'm not running BOINC 24/7... doing that on both of my HTPCs would increase my electricity bill by 1.5x at least.

I'm not going 24/7 and I'm at $350/mo already. Though been doing it more and the air conditioner has been on less so might even out.
