EK, the world-renowned manufacturer of premium water-cooling equipment, is launching tube clamps for the EK-Pro series of Barb fittings. EK-Pro Clamps come in two different sizes to correspond with tubing barb sizes. They are made of steel to meet the harsh safety and quality requirements of the EK-Pro line.

The tube clamps are designed to grip the soft tube after it's installed over a barb fitting. They come in the following sizes:
  • 6/12 - for tubing that has a minimum diameter of 10 mm and a maximum of 12 mm
  • 10/17 - for tubing that has a minimum diameter of 15 mm and a maximum of 17 mm
EK-Pro Clamps cover all EK-Pro Barb fittings and tubing options and can be purchased in packs of either 20 or 100 pieces. They are manufactured from hot-rolled low-carbon steel sheets characterized by their excellent formability.

Availability and Pricing
The EK-Pro Clamp 6/12 and 10/17 are made in Slovenia, Europe, and are available for order through the EK Webshop and Partner Reseller Network. The table below shows the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP), VAT included.

these are bog standard automotive clamps, buy them everywhere but from EK.
They're also a PITA to install requiring a special hose clamp that's why we all change them to regular worm band clamps in cars

Surprisingly those prices are very competitive with what I can find from automotive parts webshops in EU.

And they already used this style of clamps for the old Predator AIOs. Did they just find their left over stock now? ;)

These are ridiculously overpriced. Cheap arse spring clamps are like 50 for $8 usd.

Yea, use of these is for non-critical use only. It's kind of ghetto in a datacenter imo lol.

I am pretty sure their use in cars is much more critical than a computer. I agree they will look super weird inside a computer, but at the end of the day, if this is the Pro line, they are much more concerned with things working reliably rather than looks.

"hot-rolled low-carbon steel"

odd

usually spring steel is medium to high carbon steel

They also used them in some of the workstation custom loop kits but they didn't sell the part individually, maybe to prevent their use from becoming more widespread and cannibalize the sales of the outrageously priced compression fittings

Exactly! The automotive industry uses them because they're super cheap and reliable, why people often spend close to the same ammount on fittings as they did on hardware - that will remain static without much vibrations or high pressure fluids going through it like a car does - always amazed me.

Wow! Revolutionary!

......oh wait, havent I seen those before?

In all fairness, a lot cleaner than a worm clamp. But not as reliable in my opinion.

That doesn't change the fact that I was unable to quickly find clamps that was much cheaper than these in Europe.

50 for $8 is more in line with what you can find on Aliexpress, depending on what ID we're talking about

typical automotive hose clamps can be found at your local auto parts stores where you can get a package of 4/8 for less than a couple bucks. EK is taking advantage of those less informed.

Processor So old, you don't wanna know... Really!
The whole PC liquid cooling stuff came from automotive. These spring ones included. Which as mentioned before, are about $5 for 10 pcs.
But if I was up to LC, I'd get ordinary automotive screw clamps and rubber hoses. As in cars such stuff comes through real stress and challenges.

I used these in my first water cooled rig back in the early 2000's, then i switched to zip ties, now i just use 7/16" hose on 1/2" barb fittings with no clamps at all. FYI, I've never had a leak...
