I have 2 Kingston Fury Beast 16GB 5600MHz DDR5 CL40 DIMM Single Module 16Gb sticks installed and this is what CPU-Z and task manager shows:

Yes, it's dual channel.

Can you verify with an older version of CPU-z? Or download HWInfo and open "Memory Timings" option via right clicking its tray icon.

CPUz has shown dual channel DDR5 as Quad channel/4x32bit for a long time, I'm not 100% sure if they changed something again.

No, it's not dual channel in traditional understanding. One channel is 64 bit, and you only have one 16 GB stick populating two sub-channels of 32 bit each. Still faster and more efficient than one DDR4 stick with single 64-bit channel, yet you're still having less bandwidth than you could've had. Install the second RAM stick as soon as you can afford it and you'll get your dual channel with all extra speed this mode provides with.

NB: OC potential of random sticks is worse than that of sticks in kits of two.

Disregard all the above, I had reading comprehension issues. Everything is fine. CPU-Z is bugging you.

He has two 16GB sticks, on a motherboard with two RAM slots. Should be dual channel by all accounts.

Thanks, HWInfo shows this:

So it is Dual Channel then. I only have 2 RAM slots on my motherboard.

I see this in AIDA

Yup, it's showing as Dual channel. To be absolutely sure, download AIDA64 and do a RAM bandwidth test.
