Welcome to the second week of new game releases in 2024 and yet another week full of minor releases. Don't let that put you off though, as there are plenty of new games launching, some of which are not quite what you'd expect. As such, you can look forward to a week of RPG titles, a game where things go boom, a lot of beer, some bonesaws and repairing computers.

Archaelund / Monday 8 January
Explore a vast open world and crawl through dungeons in first person, then fight tactical turn-based battles from a top-down perspective. Guide your adventuring party through Archaelund, mankind's last frontier, and uncover its many secrets.

Tick, Tank, Boom / Tuesday 9 January
Tick, Tank, Boom is an arcade multiplayer-shooter where players fight each other in various game modes like free for all, domination or capture the flag. A large selection of tanks will give you everything you need to find your perfect playstyle to succeed on the battlefield.

Beer Factory / Wednesday 10 January
Beer Factory is a business simulation and management game. Take the challenge and manage your own beer factory, employees, production lines, as well as the import and export of merchandise.

War Hospital / Thursday 11 January
Be the ray of hope among the darkness of war. Manage a British WW1 field hospital in a 3D isometric RTS where you lead the medical corps instead of soldiers. Fight for life, soul, and humanity in a world that rejected them in a unique society survival game.

Computer Repair Shop / Friday 12 January
Identify and fix problems with computers arriving for repair. Replace quality parts with crappy parts if you wish. Fix broken parts and assemble them in a computer. Then put it up for sale and negotiate with customers. Fool them if you can. Develop viruses and infect computers with the money you earn.

that tick tank boom game half reminds me of battlefield heroes. As for the "simulator" style games...ugh. I dont understand why games like them exist but I guess it makes good youtube content.

Not a modern version of cannon fodder? Scorched Earth?

Computer Repair Shop looks like a bit of fun. You can see from the trailer that it doesn't take itself seriously. And being true to its name, runs on a potato :p

Not a modern version of cannon fodder?
I thought about Cannon Fodder for a second. But this seems to be vehicles only and apparently no squads. So no, not Cannon Fodder.

More recent versions you could move the tanks in, instead of firing.
Yeah, but they would move just a bit, nothing like this title right here.
Played Gorillas as well.
Played till it was no longer fun, I could take out the other gorilla with the first shot/banana, unless it spawned in a deep pit or something like that.

jiiiiisus, scorched earth... i had forgotten about it completely!, played the shit out of it, scorched 3d not so much.

I played another similar one that was in space and each "planet" had gravity that buggered your aim :D, now i can't remember the name!, i recently read a much much much delayed sequel was in the works.

Back to this week's batch, archaelund is the only one that remotely interest me, and even then seems like a low budget low effort game
