How to install Nivida Driver 546.65 on Windows 1511?

Since Windows 1511 gives me the most fps for my gaming applications (Android Emulator), I am forced to install the nvidia gpu Driver 546.65 (GTX 1070) on this Windows 1511 version, which of course is not working (Nvidia install fail due to windows version). Are there any ideas on how to successfully install this newest gpu drivers through maybe inf modding? Please no recommendations on Windows Updates. The latest Windows 10 version is already installed on a 2nd SSD, and as I said, it gives ~5% less fps than Windows 1511 for my applications.

Any help is welcomed.

Try extracting the driver files and then edit nv_dispig.inf and then remove the Windows version limitation

Example
%NVIDIA_A% = NVIDIA_Devices,NTamd64.10.0.17134 [NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0.17134]
and replace with
%NVIDIA_A% = NVIDIA_Devices,NTamd64.10.0 [NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0]

I also made a new thread regarding 40 series cards on 1507 LTSB, If you're interested in looking at it.
Need RTX 40 series (Ada Lovelace) to work in Windows 10 1507 LTSB

You don’t. 5% framerate difference is close to being margin of error or run to run variance. And I am not sure what exactly forces you into a newer driver version? Just create a package of a supported driver through NVCleanstall, DDU and then install that.

Changed Lines (screenshot) as explained. Without success

If helpful: This message receives after trying to install the driver without modding inf.

Maybe not for your gaming applications, but for my, with my hardware, sure.

It’s simple math for any hardware or application, actually, and widely accepted by the tech community, but you do you. Regardless, it is impossible to install the latest versions of NV driver on an OS this old. End of story.

Try going to test mode by
1. Open command prompt (with admin privileges)
2. Type in bcdedit /set testsigning on
3. Restart your PC
4. Install the driver

We are here to make it possible through modding. If you would like to take part, you are welcome. This is a project to achieve higher frame rates. For reference, I made direct FPS observations in-game, in many different Windows versions, under the same conditions, as well as different Nvidia driver versions from 391.01 to 546.65. The result: Windows 1511 and the latest Nvidia driver version separately offer the highest frame rates in my gaming application (not in other games), which is why this project is now being tried, to unite Win 1511 with Nvidia Driver Version 546.65. I would be happy to share the results with you all, provided we succeed in installing the nvidia drivers.

Tried right now, unfortunately driver installation failed.
If helpful, here are the exactly steps, i done:
1. Run cmd and set command: "bcdedit /set testsigning on" and restart Windows.
2 Start NVCleaninstall, choose the latest driver and proceed to the Tweaks Step.
3. Then open the temp folder of NVCleaninstall in Local AppData, open their Nvidia Display Driver folder and search the inf file
4. Open the inf File and change the Windows Limitation as explained:

From
%NVIDIA_A% = NVIDIA_Devices,NTamd64.10.0.17134
[NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0.17134]

to
%NVIDIA_A% = NVIDIA_Devices,NTamd64.10.0
[NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0]

5. Save and close inf File
6. Proceed NVCleaninstall
7. Result (Screenshot): Failed Installation

I don’t think you understand the issue. All new NV drivers are DCH. That means they are inherently incapable of running on versions of 10 older than 1803. This is not some random software lock. It’s an inherent difference in driver model architecture. No amount of modding can overcome that. Your OS version just straight up doesn’t have what the driver needs to function at a basic level.

In another topic i saw how they installed nvidia drivers on Windows 1709 successful via inf modding (Screenshots). Thats why i opened this topic here.
But now i see, they installed standard drivers 472.12 on Windows 1709, not DCH Drivers, so maybe you right.
So if there are no other ideas, i would stop this project. Thanks

There ARE no standard drivers anymore after, I believe, 496. It’s all DCH from there. So no, I am afraid your project was doomed from inception.

Learning when to accept that something isn't going to happen is still learning. Your company's mess up isn't yours to deal with.

You cannot. However, your GTX 1070 is well-supported by earlier drivers. It is an old card, so you don't have much to worry about. Simply install a suitable driver instead.
