And one another Plus for MX4:I have used both and I think either one would be fine. I lean towards the MX-4 because it is cheaper.

Had zero issues with degradation for the 10 years I've been using TG products.I've been thinking about gpu thermal paste recently for when I need to do a repaste of my gpu (4070) but I've been seeing how many mention the pump out effect on gpus, so with that being said among these thermal paste : mx4 or mx6 which is th beat to go? We don't have gelid locally, we do have thermal grizzly brand but seeing how many people say that the degradation factor In those are fast I rather stick with something that will last long without having to repaste and offer solid thermals
its expensive here as well if i gotta add to that, 1 gram for 10 dollarsHad zero issues with degradation for the 10 years I've been using TG products.

MX-6, moved from TG Kryonaut due to it degrading in performance after just over a year of use.
That problem was with cert MX-5 batches - why else would they still offer it on their website? You can't judge all batches and products based on one. No company has a flawless record.Haven't tried the MX-6, but after having to throw away a whole tube of newly opened MX-5 once because it separated into a watery and solid segment, I'm not sure if I want to.
I haven't yet tried it but my understanding is that Honeywell PTM7950 (pads or paste) is great and gets better as it burns in. How expensive is it there?I've been thinking about gpu thermal paste recently for when I need to do a repaste of my gpu (4070) but I've been seeing how many mention the pump out effect on gpus, so with that being said among these thermal paste : mx4 or mx6 which is th beat to go? Ah, well, I find that saying to be antithetical to innovation and improvements, not to mention progress in general.True - although, the experience reminded me of my favourite saying: "If it isn't broken, don't fix it."

Innovation and improvement are nice, but I don't believe in progress at all costs. Sometimes, progress is made in a negative direction (as was the case with the MX-5).Ah, well, I find that saying to be antithetical to innovation and improvements, not to mention progress in general.
No, but I haven't seen anyone complain about the MX-4, either.Have you seen people complaining about MX-6?

I don't disagree with you. Your point about MX-4 just underscores that judging MX-6 based on MX-5 is not a good decision. ;PInnovation and improvement are nice, but I don't believe in progress at all costs. Sometimes, progress is made in a negative direction (as was the case with the MX-5).

On AM4 and AM5, the pea drop is fine. On LGA-1700, I'm not sure.out of curiosity, does a application pattern matters anymore? or witha simple pea size drop is fine even on am4 cpus?
I do 3 parallel lines, which works perfectly, although I tend to be generous enough that the rest squeezes out the sides. I'm on Intel.out of curiosity, does a application pattern matters anymore? or witha simple pea size drop is fine even on am4 cpus?
