rather than encourage further hijacking and necro'ing of that thread, I figured I'd start a thread dedicated to the software tool, itself.Im very late to this party, but thought this might help someone. I had a very similar problem multiple times when messing with/changing drivers (it drove me nuts multiple times over the years). And the solution was to use atikmdag-patcher. In case you still have that GPU collecting the trash somewhere, might be worth trying.
