Being made of a carbon fiber composite, the ambidextrous UltralightX is among the lightest wireless mice available at 38 g. The browser-based software for the ULX is just as lightweight. In addition, the ULX is equipped with PixArt's PAW3395 sensor, and delivers true 4000 Hz wireless polling.

- 190 bucks
- limited drops
- questionable build quality

Oh, FinalMeme… Never change, never change.

- 190 bucks
- limited drops
- questionable build quality
Add to the above:

- da puck....
- da holez everywhere...yea I know their goal was lightweight but seriously....
- oh and that price....outrageous IMHO....it could be made of solid tritanium or transparent aluminum & I still wouldn't pay anywhere near that for it...nope, notta, no way, 'Jose....

  • Significant CPI deviation
  • Questionable build quality in certain parts
  • Supremely stiff charging cable
  • Slow charging
While the mouse looks really nice with its paint job and all, $190 isn't gonna cut it, especially if some parts are flexing like cheap plastic.

The stiff cable that it comes with and the less-than-standard USB 5V charging is also not it too.

But the web-based interface is good, almost like QIA/VIA.

190 bucks and only a two year?
I have spent half that on power supplys and gotten 10 years

They know the switches will die about that time, like they do in all mice. Designed to fail.

There's really no excuse for stiff cables when you can get nice floppy cables from other brands like Lamzu for less than 10bux.

grooved on left and right clicks area? better non grooved and add rubber sticker on that

To those of you obsessing over these ultralight mice, I wonder if you realize that the human hand generally weighs about 400 grams. The difference between a 38g and a 50 or even 60g mouse is, therefore, trivial.

just wondering why they leave the left and right click PCB like that thin and looks kinda fragile when you solder and desolder often

What? That logic makes ZERO sense.

If a foot generally weighs "XYZ" it's ok to wear heavier shoes ?
If a head generally weighs "XYZ" it's ok to use heavier glasses and hats?

Oh wow.

Math literacy ftw. A heavy shoe can weigh much more than the foot itself, whereas the sub-3% difference between your hand moving 438g and 450g isn't perceptible. Walk all day in a 5kg pair of steel-toed boots and most people's legs will be somewhat weary; slide around a 50g mouse a couple of centimeters all day and, barring an acute case of myasthenia gravis, your hand will be unaffected.

Just false premise. You're assuming you move your whole hand with every mouse movement.
Most adjustments by me is done by my fingertips.

But, counterintuitively, that lighter mouse requires more muscular activity to precisely aim:

"...A 2012 study assessed the impact of mouse weight (70 versus 190 grams) on muscle activity when performing “point and click” tasks (Chen et al., 2012). The results showed that the lowest forearm muscle activity occurred when using the heavier 130g mouse...."

@Endymio
This is true for some cases, but the actual usefulness of ever lighter mice is heavily dependent on one’s grip and aiming style. Yes, if you palm grip then the heavier mouse will be fine and in some cases will indeed be less tiring. If you fingertip, well, that 130 grams you will definitely feel. There’s a good reason why fingertip-dedicated mice (even though there aren’t many yet) strive to not only be as small as possible (well, short mainly since the entire back serves no purpose there), but also as light as possible. It’s also the issue of weight distribution and balance. Several mice with identical weight might feel quite different in the hand depending on said balance.
For most people though I would agree that beyond a certain point weight reduction does actually very little in mice. But I personally started my gaming in my childhood with something so tiny that I just got used to fingertip and normal-sized mice are not comfortable. This, to be precise:

Yes, Potter branding and all. Not obvious here, but that thing was TINY.

Because with a heavier mouse you'd rather move it with your upper arm and shoulder instead of the forearm.

Joke of a "company" who managed to sucker tons of idiots after failing previous drop shipping IP's via other branding.

I guess they found their demographic.
