HI, i got an Asrock PG D RX570 8GB from a co-worker, he used it for mining years ago, says he flashed a different BIOS back then.
After testing it on my PC:
  • I plugged my monitor on the hdmi port but it doesn't output any video.
  • Device manager shows the card as if it's working normally
  • Doesn't appear on task manager (only shows iGPU)
I was reading some threads here but couldn't find any on this specific card.
I already made a backup of current BIOS, and also read the Guide thread for the AMDVBFLASH/ATi Flash, so i was hoping i could get some help finding the original BIOS

Here are the GPU-z ss.

GPUZ_main-tab.pngGPUZ_sensors-tab_2.png Sensor tab doesn't show any measures

And some pictures of the gpu. These are all the white labels i found:

Also, all the vram chips are SAMSUNG K4G80325FC HC25.

Hi thanks for helping. I was following the steps on the guide thread:

im stuck on step 8 since when i type amdvbflash.exe -i i get this message:
error_step-8.png
Im on my administrator account, and im also running cmd as administrator as the guide says.

It is related to the account settings from your windows OS.
I would recommend to take the card to a windows 10 system.
Try at least to run amdvbflash from a usb stick to see.

There is a workaround without removing the graphics card from the pc. Windows doesn't like to have processes running on root directory level on the operating system disk.
This can be solved by moving the files to an usb drive and then execute from the usb drive.

Yes indeed, as i said earlier and @VuurVOS told also, you should try to start the flash program from an usb stick.

Sorry missed that! Sometimes I need to read instead of "scanning" the message very quickly

Relax mate when i come back from work i am also tired and sometimes i miss some important info.
In the end we are human.
In short time we will be replaced by AI. :)

Hi again, i tried as you suggested, i moved the folder with all files to a usb and ran the program from there but got the same error.
Or did you guys mean doing it from a bootable usb?

would recommend to take the card to a windows 10 system.
my current setup has windows 11, i'll try to boot from my laptop win10 ssd in the meantime..

If you can i would recommend to use a bootable USB.

I am glad that you did it.
We are happy to help.
Cheers mate!

Sorry, I'm going to use the translator. Let's say one worked but not 100%, the GPU clock keeps reading 0 and when I install the drivers it fails.
If this could be a physical memory failure, won't there be a BIOS mod that leaves the GPU at 4GB instead of 8GB?

Hola.
Sorry now I translate it. I put the BIOS that they gave me and it has that problem. for example, when my animated background is activated, it uses 100% of the CPU and none of the GPU

Esto lo hace a veces

Thank you for the pictures.

It is possible to disable memory channels with bios modding so you can turn a 8gb bios into 4gb or even 2gb with disabling the faulty channels:
Are there any unverified BIOS for my model that goes from 8GB to 4GB?. my faulty memory channels are A0 and A1.
if there is and you can pass me thank you very much. and if there isn't I'm going to try to get my hands on that program, I'm a little scared because I'm Argentinian and I don't speak the language of the video.
If there is a modified BIOS that you find thank you very much and if not thank you anyway they were very helpful.

Sorry, dont understand that language neither. Google translate can be used on the tutorial:
