As we enter the last week of June and head towards darkness again in the Northern Hemisphere (remember, it's only six months until Christmas), we can look forward to another slow week of new releases. This week's major release is a remake of a puzzle adventure game from 1997. There's also a strategy game DLC, a shootout, a time travel adventure, some racing and some chasing to look forward to, if that's your kind of thing.

Riven / This week's major release and remake / Tuesday 25 June
Riven takes you on a journey through dense jungles, awe-inspiring caverns, and monolithic structures. Explore a world bent to the whims of a man who sees himself as a god and where every corner will immerse you in an otherworldly adventure. Uncover a story of intrigue, betrayal, and a civilization teetering on the brink of collapse as you solve intricate puzzles to unlock the secrets of Riven. Built from the ground-up and expanded from the award-winning original game released in 1997. Steam Link

Victoria 3: Sphere of Influence / This week's DLC / Monday 24 June
Put your diplomatic skill to the ultimate test in Sphere of Influence, a new expansion to Victoria 3. Pull other nations into your orbit through diplomatic skill, economic leverage or straightforward bribery. Building a durable international faction of like-minded governments, pursuing common goals for a common good and the glory of your power. Steam Link

Guncho / Tuesday 25 June
In this small scale, turn based tactics game, you spin Guncho's revolver cylinder to keep his bullets aligned to enemies. Fight your way through randomly generated shootouts. Upgrade your bullets and use tactical abilities to defeat your foes. Ride your donkey and become the ultimate Pistolero. Steam Link

Sarah's Adventure: Time Travel / Wednesday 26 June
Step into 'Sarah's Adventure: Time Travel', an enchanting game that sends players on a captivating journey through space and time. This game unearths the essence of adventure by combining elements of exploration and puzzle-solving. As players navigate through various locations around the globe, they are tasked with clearing obstacles and unraveling challenges, truly engaging the player's wit and strategy. Steam Link

NeoSprint / This week's second remake / Thursday 27 June
The exhilarating Atari racing classic "Sprint" series returns! NeoSprint zooms back to life as a single screen arcade racer for up to 8 players, paired with a robust track builder and intuitive sharing tools, ensuring a racing experience that satisfies speed demons and architects alike. Steam Link

Outbrk / Friday 28 June / Early Access
Outbrk is a storm chasing simulation game being developed for PC set in a fictive reproduction of America's tornado alley. Experience the wonder of nature and compete against other chasers as you put yourself into random scenarios based on real life weather events. Prepare to have too close for comfort encounters with tornadoes, fight your way through torrential downpours, while avoiding hazards of extreme weather. Steam Link

Spent Saturday night(from 6 in evening to 6 in morning) monitoring frogs that had congragated in 1000s for breeding. Now I am too tired to do anything and will be sleeping in few mins time. Also will be waiting for new Doom game along with GTA 6.

@R-T-B

I am reading news that you got laid yesterday mate :D

Riven, the only game that interests me of these..

I will be putting the Riven remake on my list but the $35 price is not what I'm willing to pay so I'll wait.

That looked good until they showed the game-play in the video.. Still, I know people who love these type of games and the graphics do look good.

No. We all got laid. It was a party, come stop by sometime.
Pass! No offense to you, but frog orgy's are not my jam. I'm a kinky mofo, but I gotta draw the line somewhere..

The OG Riven had amazing graphics, cant imagine what it would look like in VR.

BTW, in response to the poll, I am currently playing through the english translated version of Dragon Quest 3 for SNES for the second time in as many years..

Riven! I played the demo and it wasn't a slide-show like the original. So yeah, I'll wreck (rack?) my brain playing this. :D
